One of my favorites: House of Gourmet on Dundas West. It’s small, nothing fancy, but their xiao long bao are far better than many pricier joints downtown. Also, if you’re around Spadina, stop by Mother's Dumplings and grab their leek and pork dumplings,you won’t regret it. Here’s a little local tip: weekdays, dim sum lines are shorter if you go right when they open, around 11 am. Weekends get crazy.

Oh, and if you’re into bubble tea, Toronto’s got you covered too,try Xing Fu Tang or The Alley, both have shops around Chinatown. So yeah, Chinese food in Toronto means adventure and flavor, not just steamed buns and soy sauce.
