This is perfect for anyone looking for that old school Chinese food experience. It’s very nostalgic. The food was amazing and the service is simple but polite! You get tea immediately upon seating and the pricing is pretty fair for these days. I recommend the sweet and sour chicken with pineapple!
You don’t come here for fancy atmosphere or great service, it’s an old school Chinese restaurant serving up authentic Cantonese food. Be pleasant and polite and place your order. The waiters are more than happy to assist. We ordered a bunch of dishes for our party of 9 and left very full with leftovers to take home. Each dish came out fast, hot and deliciously fragrant. Standouts were the deep fried egg tofu in salt and chili pepper, deep fried squid in garlic pepper, fried prawn in GG sauce, pork & eggplant, Singapore rice noodles, fried pork chop, and beef fried noodles. It can get noisy from other patrons speaking loudly, but this is Chinatown! Great value, our bill came to $222 for 9 people (no drinks). Complimentary house soup and dessert on weekends. 9/10.
A restaurant in China town which is open til late, accepts cash and card payments and has good food. My friends were excited to see Susur Lee when we got there. We were immediately brought tea and menus. The server for our table was professional and friendly and helped me find a vegan option (rice noodles & veggies and I got tofu as an add on). My friends enjoyed their meat & seafood options. Generous portions and a good experience overall!
