I have been here before but was disappointed this time around. Dishes were not being filled on time. It was much before closing so no excuse not to fill. Staff were walking by the empty trays but not filling them. Service was just not good. Food including dessert choices were limited. Small size iplates everywhere. Almost forces you to go back numerous times. Downside to this is it builds up crowds at the buffet. Upside is you don’t waste as much. Drinks and napkins to the table was extremely slow and service was not friendly. Place was packed so it looks like they just were not ready for this kind of crowd. Parking was extremely difficult to find. In a plaza with several other restaurants. Staff watch the clock and try to get you out in about an hour and a half to two. It’s all about the turns and bottom line.
This is the buffet for people craving authentic Chinese food rather than Canadianized Chinese food (Mandarin). Dinner includes cuts of prime rib, half a lobster(1-1.5lb sized), Beijing duck, and a good selection of Asian drinks like mango slush. Lots of seafood options including those offered at the sushi section. Not the best cuts of tuna but fresh sashimi nonetheless. Service is great as server consistently clears the table of spent plates, a must since one inevitably will have many plates. Recommended for those graduating from the Mandarin.
To keep it short, it’s an asian-style buffet with a western section. I love the atmosphere, but you must be aware that it will have a buffet-style atmosphere, with multiple tables close to each other. The food is good with a proper sushi section and specials on certain days. I can commend the service as there is always someone available to assist you for any of your needs. Be aware that lunch prices and dinner prices differ. EDIT: They also have crab legs, if you were missing out on Mandarin’s crab legs when they used to have it.
Such a hit every time we visit! This is easily one of the best buffets in the GTA. With an incredible variety of dishes, there’s truly something for every culinary preference—from fresh seafood and authentic Asian cuisine to Western favourites and decadent desserts. The AYCE crab legs—available only once a year for a limited time—are always fresh, flavourful, and consistently replenished, making them the highlight of our visit. Another standout is the Peking duck, served with wonton wrappers, shredded green onions, cucumber, and hoisin sauce. It’s delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated, creating a comfortable dining experience. The service is consistently wonderful, with staff ensuring that food stations remain stocked and tables are promptly cleared. My only wish is that they would provide more than one crab leg cracker per table—but that’s a minor inconvenience in an otherwise exceptional experience. Highly recommended!
