Wow, this feels like such a hidden gem! Who would have thought an establishment attached to a hotel, right off the highway, would be this cute and wonderful! Our server, Nick, was so attentive without feeling like he was hovering or patronizing. I ordered the gnocchi which was good but could use more salt, and the burrata on top felt a bit weird since it was cold on top of not very hot pasta. Overall, I would definitely visit again and try out the rest of the menu!
Tonight my friend suggested having dinner here and it was my first time ! My whole experience from start to finish was amazing. The hostess made sure to sit us by a window with a nice view which I loved ! Our waiter Troy C, was exceptional and made our dining experience very pleasant ! I love a server that is very personable and engages having conversations with the guests. We didn’t feel rushed , we sat and enjoyed our meal which was amazing ! I’d definitely come back again and highly recommend!! The Cod (fish and chips) was very good ! 😋. Thanks Troy !!
My boyfriend and I went out for lunch here for the first time this afternoon and, it was absolutely lovely weather to sit on the patio! Great view, delicious food and drinks. They had a watermelon lemonade that just tasted like more. Our server Caleb was very accommodating, courteous and all around a pleasure. Thank you so much for a great experience!
We decided to go to The Shore for their prime rib special, and it certainly did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how genuinely warm and friendly the entire staff was, making us feel completely welcome. The service throughout the evening was exquisite, and the food was prepared to perfection. We also started with the calamari, which was cooked beautifully tender, tasty, and not at all chewy. The location is simply stunning, offering a beautiful view of Lake Ontario. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner or a nice meal with family, this place is highly recommended. It is truly worth trying, your taste buds will not be disappointed!
DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE It was our 1st visit here for a celebratory dinner on sunday evening. We live 2 kms away and had made dinner reservations for 6:30pm. To put it politely - It was not a good experience. We had to wait over 1 hr 45 mins to get our food after having to inquire multiple times about it. I want to be kind, but will be honest about our experience. 1. We waited a long time to be shown to our table while the person at the reception engaged in a prolonged discussion and took a take-out order from a walk-in customer. 2. Once we were shown to our table, we waited for about 25 mins before we saw our wait staff (Caleb H). We felt sorry for Caleb as he came across as a very nice person that was taking care of one too many tables. 3. It took another 30 mins for our 2 drinks to arrive after having to ask a few times. 4. The appetizer we ordered never came till the main course was served. We wound up not eating the appetizer. Thankfully it was taken off the bill. 5. After 1 hr 40 mins of waiting for dinner .....we were contemplating calling it a day. Finally got the salad + korean chicken and short ribs after an almost 2 hr wait. Food was just above average. My short ribs were cooked well, but everything else on the plate was disappointing, basically tasteless. My partners salad was over dressed and soggy. Staff seems to be inexperienced, super slow and ill trained. Management seems to be sleeping on the job. Overall poor planning by managment to contemplate/ handle the weekend crowds. PROS The water view is excellent. Location is great. Just off the QEW. Perfect for super tired 😫 Toronto crowd that is desperate for something to eat before a long drive home in the usual end of weekend crazy traffic heading back to GTA. We both agreed to try the Shore once more but not on a weekend Hopefully our next review will be a happier 😊 one.
