The food was really delicious, with many options to choose from. The happy hour dishes were reasonably priced and tasted great. The dining atmosphere is really quiet and nice. One of the cocktails we ordered had a very bitter aftertaste, but the server was kind enough to offer some syrup to mix in, which helped improve the flavour. Overall, we had a great experience, and you can definitely spend around $40–$60 per person and leave the restaurant feeling full.
Tried the Summerlicious menu with my partner and we ordered different dishes so we could try more of the menu. The appetizers were definitely the highlight! The beef carpaccio was incredibly fresh and tender, and the grilled calamari was perfectly cooked: not chewy at all like I expected. We originally ordered the Bolognese, but the pasta was a little firmer than what I’m used to. The server explained that all of their pasta is handmade in-house and cooked in the traditional Italian style. They even offered to remake it softer for us, but we decided to switch to the seafood spaghetti instead, and we’re so glad we did. It was full of fresh seafood flavor and absolutely delicious. The braised short ribs were my favorite main-so tender and paired really well with the risotto. The duck confit was also good, with no gamey taste, although the vegetables were slightly on the salty side. For dessert, the pistachio cannoli was my favorite. The tiramisu was well made, but I’m just not a big fan of the stronger coffee and Marsala wine flavor, so that’s purely personal preference. Service was excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the restaurant surprised us with two complimentary drinks. The kitchen was running behind that evening, and the staff kept us updated and apologized for the delay. As a nice gesture, they also removed our Bellini from the bill. Great food and even better hospitality; we’ll definitely be back!
From start to finish, our experience was exceptional. Karen, the event coordinator, was fantastic to work with. She communicated clearly throughout the entire planning process, answered every question thoroughly, and was incredibly accommodating, making everything feel seamless and stress-free. The restaurant is tucked away on a quiet street in the downtown of Toronto, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle while still being conveniently located close to the subway, making it easily accessible by transit. The ambiance was beautifully upscale, intimate, and romantic, with dim lighting that created the perfect atmosphere for our event. We hosted a party of 18 in the semi-private dining room, and it was spacious, comfortable, and ideal for our group. Although I unfortunately can’t remember the names of the host and servers who took care of us, they were absolutely outstanding. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made everyone feel welcome. The service was impeccable from beginning to end, and everything was incredibly well organized. The food and drinks were excellent. Every dish was beautifully presented, generously portioned, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant did a great job with dietary and allergy restriction accommodations. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to host an intimate gathering, whether it’s a small celebration or a larger group event. Between the outstanding service, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional food, it truly made for a memorable experience.
My third time here, but my first visit since the name change to Notte. The biggest highlights for me were the Chicken Liver Mousse, Beef Carpaccio, and Prosciutto di Parma & Melon. The flavor pairings were beautifully balanced, incredibly appetizing, and such a perfect way to start the meal. The Spaghetti allo Scoglio was delicious as always. I was also surprised by the Bitter Sweet Duck pizza. It was new to me, but very tasty, with a nice mix of flavours and textures. Service was warm and attentive as always. We also received a complimentary tiramisu after the meal, which was a lovely touch. Another wonderful dining experience. Wishing the team continued success, and I look forward to coming back again soon :)
Notte is one of the best Italian restaurants in all of Toronto, and on a personal level, the best Italian restaurant that we've been to since our last trip to Italy. Honestly everything was amazing here. The tuna salad appetizer was splendid, the focaccia with Parmesan butter (I didn't even know you could do that!! It was heavenly, I need to know how to make it) was so so good, and the mozzarella in carrozza was the best we've ever had. So crunchy, it did not last long on the table. Their pinsa was amazing, just like in Italy, their pasta was perfectly cooked (I highly recommend the bolognese!) and then the meats were the star of the show. The porchetta was absolutely amazing, incredibly prepared. And the Bistecca Fiorentina, yes it's expensive and yes it takes 45 minutes but I promise it's so worth it! Not a single bite went to waste. The desserts were also amazing, we fought through being full and just had to try. And aside from the food, the service was excellent. The staff was very kind, everyone knew how to properly pronounce the dishes (which is very important for Italians), and we were constantly cared for, nothing was overlooked, and we were a family of 6 so we were constantly asking for things. The inside is a cool modern yet classic Vibe with old Western movies playing and nice ambient lighting. Overall it was a fun and elegant experience, this restaurant does not skimp on quality. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for good Italian food.
