Both the service and the food at this restaurant were wonderful. All of the staff, including the host, were polite and friendly, and our server in particular was extremely energetic, continuously keeping us updated on when our food would arrive and taking care of everything we needed. The preserved traces of the old brewery throughout the space made it feel almost like visiting a museum. It's a place I would love to visit again.
Perfect location, right in the heart of the distillery. Surrounded by other restaurants and shops. They have a big indoor area and a lovely outdoor space. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We got the massive two parts seafood meal. The first part comprised of cold seafood, half a dozen oysters, clams and razor clams. Shrimp cocktails and crab legs. The hit part includes two salmon tacos, a trout with vegetables and some other seafood dishes. As an extra we ordered a full broiled lobster. Delicious! The desserts were good too but not the best I’ve had. Overall a really good meal, on the pricy side but definitely worth it.
At first, we were greeted rather coldly by the host, which honestly wasn’t the best first impression when visiting a restaurant for the first time. However, everything changed the moment Tina became our server. She was incredibly friendly, polite, and professional, and she had a beautiful smile on her face the entire time, which made us feel very welcome. We ordered apple cider, and choosing our meals was a bit challenging because the menu had a lot of options. I was hoping to find a creamy shrimp dish, but there wasn’t one on the menu. In the end, I ordered the shrimp salad, and my friend had the chicken pasta. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The highlight of our visit was when Chef Saeed, a talented Iranian chef, came to our table to personally welcome us. He later surprised us with a delicious dessert, which made our dining experience even more memorable. Before we left, we also had a brief conversation with the manager. Although he seemed serious, he was very polite and respectful, which left us with a great impression. Overall, if the host’s welcome had been warmer, our experience would have been nearly perfect. Nice atmosphere with a lot of seating options for various group sizes. There is often a wait here. Great seafood selection on the menu but also good variety of favourites like parmesan fries and healthy salads. The appies with the olives were light and satisfying. The restaurant could get a little loud because it is a large space. Overall, we were pretty happy with the menu selection.
Let me start off by saying that Ben and Simon were absolutely delightfully gracious hosts. Drinks were outstanding to say the least. We went during winterlicious and we will definitely be coming back. This is our new favourite restaurant in Toronto right now. We had a shrimp poutine that was unlike anything else I’ve ever had. For our main we had a stew chicken and a seared salmon both very wholesome and filling. And DELICIOUS. For dessert we had a maple creme brûlée and a opera cake. And it will for sure have you hitting all the notes. Served with a cappuccino and a black coffee , it topped off perfection for our evening. Will def have to go back for a date night or a girls night out . Top tier service. Absolutely loved it.
