If you're visiting Toronto, I'd definitely recommend stopping by Beavertails on Queens Quay. Not only can you try one of Canada's iconic pastries, but the location itself is worth the visit. After grabbing your BeaverTail, you can take sit or take a stroll along the waterfront, and right outside the shop you'll have a fantastic view of the CN Tower. My favorite flavour is the Pistach-OH! (pistachio), although the Apple Pie one that the table next to us ordered looked amazing, too. Freshly made BeaverTails are warm, scrispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and definitely one of those comforting treats you shouldn't miss while in Canada. The location, the waterfront atmosphere, and a freshly made BeaverTail make this a memorable Toronto experience.
As a tourist from another country, their famous beaver tail pastry was pretty good. It tasted a lot like a Mexican stuffed churro except fillings are spread on top. Their staff need to move a little faster- especially when the line forms outside and this is a prime spot for business.
Really cool experience. The dough was crispy and toppings were great. We shared one snd got ice cream. Nice outdoor seating then walk by the water. Solid experience.
I stopped by BeaverTails at Harbourfront for the first time in a while and ordered the Apple Pie flavour with a Strawberry Lemonade. The store is super cute and the atmosphere around Harbourfront makes it a fun treat, especially in the summer. The Apple Pie flavour was warm and sweet with plenty of cinnamon sugar, and the lemonade was refreshing. I went around 8:30 PM and was surprised that it took over 30 minutes from joining the line to receiving my order. They add all the toppings fresh after ordering, so I understand why it takes time, but it’s definitely something to keep in mind if you’re in a hurry. (You can order online.) One thing I appreciated was that when I asked for takeout, they packed everything nicely in a box, which made it easy to carry around without making a mess. Overall, it’s still one of those iconic Canadian treats that I keep coming back to.
Stopped by BeaverTails for a sweet treat yesterday and it definitely hit the spot! The pastry was served warm and fresh, with generous toppings and the perfect balance of sweetness. I tried the Cookies & Cream flavour and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, even though it was busy. Such a fun Canadian classic and always worth the visit. Can’t wait to come back and try more flavours!
