We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. The appetizers and cocktails were also outstanding and beautifully presented. What impressed us the most was the service. The waitstaff were exceptionally professional, courteous, and attentive throughout the evening. Their appearance and uniforms reflected a high level of professionalism, which was refreshing compared to many places where the dress code tends to be much more casual. We felt genuinely well taken care of from start to finish. The only minor drawback was the outdoor patio. Because of the neighboring building, part of the view felt somewhat enclosed and less open than we had expected. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. We would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.
From the moment you step inside, the restaurant leaves a lasting impression with its timeless elegance and authentic character. Every dish we ordered, from the appetizers to the main courses, was beautifully presented and exceptionally flavorful. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every plate were evident. What impressed me the most, however, was the service. Every member of the staff was gracious, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It is obvious that the management has invested significant care in creating a culture of professionalism and hospitality, and it truly elevates the entire dining experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated, refined, and effortlessly elegant, making it a wonderful place for both a special occasion and a relaxed evening out. If I had one small observation, it would be that the outdoor patio is somewhat surrounded by neighboring buildings. That said, the restaurant’s charm, warmth, and unmistakable sense of authenticity quickly make you forget about it. Without question, this is one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had, and I look forward to returning
The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. We visited during Summerlicious but didn't realize the menu is only offered at Alobar Downtown, not Alobar Yorkville. It was a bit confusing since it was our first time visiting any of the Alo restaurants. That said, we still had a great experience and really enjoyed the meal.
The service was excellent, with staff consistently clearing our table between courses and refilling our water glasses. We also really appreciated the complimentary dessert, which was a thoughtful touch and a nice way to end the meal. However, the fork I was initially given was dirty, and I had to ask for a replacement. I was also somewhat disappointed with the food. Considering the meal cost around $400 and that I ordered nearly all of the recommended dishes, I expected a more memorable dining experience. Overall, the service was outstanding, but the food quality and attention to cleanliness fell short of my expectations.
This was my second visit here and I can highly recommend it. Thank you to our server Zac who did a great job and gave some excellent recommendations. I had the pain au lait, lobster and scallop app, the wagyu with caviar on the potato latke, the iberico pork chop with fries and finished with the banana cream pie . All were excellent . Will be back soon
