Excellent food. Not the regular type of Hakka Chinese. So dont expect your squid or chilly chicken to be something that you are used to, from the hakka chinese style food. The spicyness (heat) is just the right amount. The sea food really has that sea food taste (fishy taste). There are several must try items which I will order on the next visit. Thoigh seating capacity is limited, the ambience is nice. Nothing flashy but a place for a date night chinese food. The bar can get pretty loud. They have halal items on the menu. The cocktail is a bit expensive at $18 a glass (see picture). Try atleast once. Overall impression: very good!!
The food was so good and tho I am not Chinese my friend who’s Chinese told me that the dishes were just as good as the ones back home. Tho I don’t get why the dumplings they have aren’t halal 😭 I was looking forward to it the most. But the noodles I got were amazing
This place was way better than I expected for a Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere was great, calm, felt almost classy, very clean and lighting was perfect. Not too bright/blinding, but lit enough. The food was great, as far as Chinese food goes of course. My friend and I showed up 10:25pm when they closed at 11pm and last call was at 10:30pm - staff were still kind and welcoming either way. The food came out in what felt like 5 minutes from ordering lol! The server also helped make suggestions, which were good. Would definitely come back to dine in.
From the moment we walked in, the staff was beyond kind and genuinely caring. Every single person was attentive, friendly, and made us feel completely welcome. They took the time to thoughtfully explain each dish and the Bijou to us, which made the experience feel personal and special. You can tell they are truly passionate about what they do and deeply proud of the food they serve. The Bijou based cocktails have been so thoughtfully curated, it is definitely worth going to here to experience these unique blends. The food was absolutely incredible. This is not your typical Chinese cuisine. Every dish felt intentional and elevated, made with so much heart. There is truly love in each bite. The flavors come together in such a magical and balanced way that you cannot help but savor every mouthful. Their house made ginger scallion seasoning is like magic dust. I would put it on everything if I could. What stood out just as much as the food was how they treat their guests. Everyone is welcomed with warmth and care, which creates such a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Do not hesitate to dine here. I always enjoy Hong Shing the meals are great, I got a seafood fried rice which was really delicious. I wish there were more scallops and shrimp but other than that the flavours were good. And the portion is great as well.
