Can’t say enough. We went for a birthday; the waitress was a step above amazing. She offered help on the menu several times and made our night one of the best in the city. (We live here!) Truly awesome place and great food. Shoutout to the waiter that helped us take photos at the entrance upon exit. Awesome people. Will be back.
We decided it would be wrong to keep these impressions to ourselves — so this is our very first restaurant review. We first discovered Old Avenue Restaurant while looking for a place to celebrate a birthday and stopped by for lunch first — and we were immediately impressed. About six months ago, we celebrated a birthday here, and everything was absolutely top-notch: a very welcoming owner, attentive staff, and especially our waiter Nikita. At the time, we thought maybe they were simply making an extra effort for new guests, so we didn’t leave a review. But now we came back again — and were pleasantly surprised to find that the atmosphere, service, and menu had become even better. The cuisine here is a truly interesting and heartfelt combination of signature dishes from the 15 republics of the former Soviet Union, presented in a modern and creative way. From everything we’ve tried so far, we can confidently recommend: • Drinking Chicken — simply delicious; • Adjarian Khachapuri — tasted exactly like childhood memories of visiting Georgia with our parents; • The burger — now our daughter refuses to eat burgers anywhere else. After 3 years of living in Toronto, this has probably been the most enjoyable restaurant experience our family has had. Thank you to the entire team for the atmosphere, hospitality, and quality. We’ll definitely be coming back — there’s still so much more we want to try! 🙂
We went there for my birthday, and it was a great experience. The restaurant is very cozy with a beautiful design and just the right amount of lighting — I really loved the atmosphere. The service was great as well. We ordered Shah Plov and La Vangy for the main dishes, and Kunefe for dessert. Everything was delicious and very high quality. Personally, I liked La Vangy a bit more than the Shah Plov because it had more flavor, but the Shah Plov was still exciting to try. I’ll definitely go there again and highly recommend it.
Food, environment, and interior were all top-notch. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The service was perfect — very attentive and friendly. We even got a complimentary dessert at the end, which was a lovely surprise. Highly recommend!
We visited this restaurant yesterday and had such a wonderful experience! Everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they care about quality. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The interior is stylish and thoughtfully designed, creating a cozy yet modern atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our time here and left very happy. Highly recommend this place — we will definitely be coming back🇦🇿❤️
