pickled veggie pork stomach soup (Large) - well handled of Pork stomach - mild spicy: promote slight sweating, warms the spleen and stomach - Pickled veggie: sour and refreshing taste, improves appetite. Steamed sea bass - Delicate yet firm texture - Subtle sweetness with steam fish soy sauce -Slightly chewy -No muddy taste - Fish scales on the fish skin were not completely removed Shrimp Fried rice - large rice portion but few shrimp - texture is a bit hard - bit bland 12% server tips is standard, 5% cash discount
Today, my friends and I had lunch at the new location "Little Sha Tin". The environment was spacious and quiet, the food was fresh and delicious, and the service was warm and attentive. A special thank you to Ms. Sharon! We will come again.
Update April 17: Congrats on the new location just a 2 minute walk up the street. The same lovely faces of the employees who never forget the regulars. Can’t wait until the front patio is set up as the weather gets nicer. 🫶 Long overdue review. I can’t believe I only found out about this place in August from family friends. Then come to realize more people knew about it than I thought and for good reason! Great Chifa menu and overall Chinese-Canadian menu. MOST importantly STAFF IS AMAZING! The ladies are so sweet and they all work super hard, especially the one tan/darker male, always keeping the place clean and very attentive and QUICK! At one point we were coming here once a week. Place is always packed and busy, so that’s always a good sign. Nonetheless, great food and pricing for the portions, great vibes and great people. Safe to say this is definitely one of our new spots, just mad we didn’t find it soon enough! Pics and videos are of all our visits the past few months as well as take out which we have done multiple times. They also have huge tables with a lung lazy Susan in the middle to spin the dishes around for shareables. Great for big groups!
I’ve been a regular here for years, mostly relying on their dependable takeout and delivery. Whether it’s a quiet night in or a rainy storm, their team is incredibly accommodating and always ensures the food arrives hot and on time. With their recent move to a new location, the dining experience has only improved. The new space is bigger, brighter, and much more inviting, making it the perfect comfort spot for great Chinese food in the neighborhood. Beyond the classics, the chefs also offer a fantastic Peruvian menu that is well worth the adventure. If you're looking for quality food paired with even better service, Newsky remains a trusted favourite.
Behind on reviews. I ate here just before they moved to their new location (where the Red Room used to be). They have a Peruvian Chinese menu. I got a veg fried rice which was a decent fried rice with generous portions. Was told the difference between Peruvian fried rice and their normal one is a matter of one ingredient (I think peas?). Anyway, enough for two meals so I brought quite a bit home. Wondering if they have any other veg options on the Peruvian menu. Would happily return to try them.
