Love the atmosphere and rooftop. Service was a bit slow and lacked refills and checking on the table. The food was good but mid. The rabbit was severely disappointing and found a bone in the plate. The fries were yummy. The burger was okay, all the portions seemed small.

Steak tartare was great! The fish in the fish and chips was very soft and nice also. However, the skin tasted a bit over-salted and cheesy. The service was good and the seating outside in the back is very nice also. It was a beautiful day

Stopped off here for a quick lunch and a beer. Ordered a shrimp dish and the crab toast, plus two beers (including a real cask summer ale), The 2 beers cost $23 (total). I give just two stars as it took over 40 mins for the food to arrive. The waitress explained that the order was not processed and asked if we wanted two more beers while we waited. The food came 10 mins later. We were charged for everything. 4 beers and the two lunches. Total bill, just over $90. Felt a bit ripped off. We were asked if we wanted to more beers while we waited… giving the impression these were complimentary. Both manageress and owner went missing when the bill arrived. it may have been a misunderstanding… but it was one that cost us.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all great! We came for brunch on a Sunday, ordered the pancakes and eggs benny and really enjoyed them both. The pancakes were delicious and the scones for the eggs benny were fantastic. Would definitely come again!

Went to the Oxley for the typical Sunday roast beef dinner. The atmosphere when walking in is cozy and warm. The walls are decorated and it gives a splendid vibe on a winter evening. Drinks were good. One of our party had fish and chips. The batter was light and not oily and the fish and chips were piping hot. Bonus for the that. The fish was light and flaky. The roast beef dinner was good however the meat was grizzled and chewy. In the past this hasn’t been the case and it might have been this particular cut of roast. Overall the food was good. This was a great way to finish off a cold wintry Sunday in Toronto.
