Original Ka Chi is such a hidden gem in Kensington Market! 🫧 We tried a variety of dishes and honestly everything was so good! We tried the famous Japaguri (ramdon) to the sizzling spicy bulgogi, chicken skewers, cheese corn, and dumplings 🥟🇰🇷. You can really taste the homemade, comforting Korean flavours in every dish. What made the experience even better is that it’s a family run restaurant, so the service felt warm and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d come back to whenever I’m craving Korean comfort food in Toronto! ✨
My first time here! The staff was really nice and polite. I ordered kimchi stew with pork and it was good (needed a little more salt to my taste though) and the stir-fried noodles with rice cake, fish cake and bulgogi beef was my favorite (but I wish I ordered the spicy version!) All in good, I left with a full tummy and felt happy! x)
The kimchi fried rice is amazing! We also go the spicy chicken skewers which had a good kick. Would recommend eating here.
Casual spot in Kensington Market for fresh comfort Korean food! Love the sizzling plates and combo deals. They have a variety of dishes to choose from and there’s something on the menu for everyone. Favourites are the beef short ribs, dolsot bibimbap, and cheesy tteokbokki!
Pretty standard traditional Korean menu offering. All the dishes we had were on par with other Korean restaurants offering similar food but nothing really stood out. It’s quite average but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The surrounding outside area can be a little bit sketchy at night but that’s expected since it’s Kensington market.
