We had a great time at the chef’s table, watching all the chefs prepare our food right in front of us. Every dish was non-pretentious and truly had thought and care behind it - good Canadian ingredients, cooked well to let the flavours shine. It was clear that the diner experience was prioritized as well because there was (finally!) enough sauce and accoutrements on my plate for every bite and each dish ate very cleanly. Our favourites were the bone in venison (so smoky and tender), the duck fat fingerling potatoes (I will be ordering a side of them all for myself next time), and the boar cavatelli (toothsome and savoury but also light?? Truly witchcraft). The sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte were some of the best desserts we’ve had in recent memory as well - honestly just perfect, no notes!! I would recommend skipping the wine pairing and go for cocktails instead. It felt like there was no real sommelier in house and some of the pairings fought the food instead of complementing them or just didn’t make much sense (e.g. white wine with boar?). Each wine came much too early before each dish and we barely got any descriptions of the wines either (at one point all i got was “this is from portugal” LOL) But the duck à l’orange cocktail was delicious and a lot of the other cocktails on the menu looked really interesting. Overall, even though front of house service was lacking, the food and kitchen staff really make this a 5 star review - I highly recommend making a trip out here!
The food is amazing and the service is on point. Great recommendations, perfectly cooked food, a great experience all around. They are very attentive to their patrons. The noise level of a large group was quite high and they moved us without us even asking! If you’re in Toronto definitely check this place out!
We always have a great experience at Antler. Amazing food, relaxed - yet still an upscale atmosphere, wonderful service, and… did I mention amazing food? The cocktails are pretty awesome too: strong without tasting strong, and each drink tastes unique compared to anything else I’ve had (the cedar sour & duck l’orange are both my favourites). At this point we’re pretty certain that you can’t find a bad thing on the menu, and feel so fortunate that we get to experience restaurants like this in Toronto where the staff truly knows what they’re doing when it comes to food - and they do it consistently well. If you’re someone who “eats with your eyes & nose”, you’ll be especially happy with your experience here.
Dined here in August 2025. We enjoyed the concept of this restaurant with seasonal manual items. Good selection of drinks from the bar and beers. The food was fantastic. We had appetizers means and a dessert. There wasn’t one that we weren’t a fan of. We would recommend this to others. all the menu items sounded great. We would come back and try this place again.
We went here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday & we opted for the Chef’s Table. We loved every minute of the experience and it was really unique having the chef’s set the tasting menu and not knowing what was next - added to the suspense and excitement of the evening! Every dish was so thoughtfully curated and explained in detail, that we struggled to pick a favourite. All the chef’s and staff were very friendly and welcoming. We’ve already recommended this place to friends and family and we will definitely be back!
