Recommended dish: Fish skin, Iced HK style milk tea and wonton noodles. Noodles were bouncy and you have got to love their broth. Not a fan of the wonton or dumpling. the black ear mushrooms have overpowered the taste of the wonton. The fish skin was a great appetizer. It tastes like chicken skin too. the HK style milk tea was too nostalgic. Not a fan of their congee. The dimsums are so-so. We have tasted better. They only have chili oil in the table, no soy sauce. They are open til 12 AM. You can also leave a memorabilia on the walls.
Excellent restaurant, it's my go-to- place for congee and rice rolls; I usually order the century egg and mince pork congee with a chinese donut stick and rice roll with soya sauce. Everything is so fresh, tasty, and yummy & delicious. They have so much variety on their menu. It's really good value.
One of the best places I’ve found for Congee. When you enter this place you see a beautiful artistic wall with lovely images drawn by the waiting customers. The over all food, pricing and vibe is fantastic, the authentic Cantonese food is the real banger here. Reasonable priced meals and warm friendly service
Yin Ji Chang Fen is a favourite spot for rice noodle rolls and congee in Toronto’s Chinatown, located at 369 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5T 2G3 (Chinatown strip between Dundas and College). My favourite congee is Lai Wan Style Congee (C05) with Chinese dough stick, which includes congee, pork skin, squid, fish, egg, pork, peanut, etc.
🍤 Food was served really quickly. The congee was good, but the donut chang fen and shrimp chang fen weren’t hot. Still, the prices are very reasonable.
