I came in with my friend to try their Summerlicious dinner menu, service was okay, the interior and space is excellent, the food was great value for the price. The rigatoni was amazing and I really liked the crispy salmon, very good portion. The chocolate mousse was a bit too sweet for our liking.
I recently visited Frenchy Bar et Brasserie inside the Hilton Hotel during Summerlicious and had a wonderful lunch experience. The restaurant has a beautiful, elegant, and classy atmosphere. I especially loved the stunning circular bar, which gives the space a unique and sophisticated feel. Our server, Yulia, was warm, friendly, attentive, and professional. She made us feel welcome throughout the entire meal and provided excellent service. I ordered the Country Pâté, Fresh Provençal Summer Rigatoni, and Dark Chocolate Mousse. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. My friend enjoyed the Tomato & Feta Salad, Chicken Paillard, and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and was equally impressed with the quality. Overall, it was a relaxing lunch with delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting. I highly recommend Frenchy Bar et Brasserie and would definitely come back again.
Had a wonderful dinner at Frenchy. Yash and Maria were incredibly helpful and courteous when assisting with the reservation. The food was excellent and the overall experience was truly a 10/10. Abhik, who served us, was attentive and thoughtful throughout the meal. He paid close attention to detail, and regularly checked in to make sure we were enjoying our food and didn’t need anything else. Overall, excellent service and a lovely dining experience.
We had the most beautiful Valentine’s dinner here and every single course was exceptional. We started with fresh oysters served perfectly chilled with all the proper accompaniments, and they were bright, clean, and beautifully presented. The French onion soup was rich and deeply flavorful with that perfect golden, bubbling cheese top that makes you pause before breaking into it. Absolute comfort in a bowl. The mushroom risotto was creamy and perfectly cooked, full of earthy flavor and finished with just the right amount of richness. The half chicken was stunning. Crispy, golden skin with juicy, tender meat and a sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Everything felt thoughtful, balanced, and refined without being pretentious. The atmosphere was romantic and warm, and the service made the evening feel relaxed and special. It was one of those dinners where you look at each other halfway through and say, this is perfect. We will absolutely be back.
Frenchy Bar et Brasserie is a gorgeous spot with a real Parisian brasserie feel right in downtown Toronto. We snagged a last-minute Saturday night reservation at 7pm with no issues, and the space was busy without feeling overcrowded. We started with two beautifully presented cocktails, the Beurre Noisette and the Eau Poivre, both flavorful and fun. For starters, the French Onion Soup was rich and comforting — easily one of the best I’ve had in the city — and the escargots were classic and satisfying. For mains, my date had the Duck Confit Cassoulet, and I had the Beef Bourguignon. Both were hearty, well-seasoned, and very enjoyable. Dessert of crème brûlée and lemon curd cheesecake rounded out the meal nicely. Service was friendly and attentive, though a bit slow at times. The dining room felt a little chilly to me, so bring a layer if you get cold easily. Overall the food is delicious, the atmosphere lovely, and it’s a great choice for date night or a special dinner out.
