Flippers was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was excellent, and the soufflé pancakes truly lived up to the hype—light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My children couldn’t get enough of the strawberry soufflé pancakes and absolutely loved every bite. The quality of the food and the overall experience made this a memorable visit. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend Flippers to anyone looking for a fantastic brunch!
We've tried this place several times to give a more accurate review. Overall, not worth the hype nor expense. There were things wrong with our orders which affected enjoyment of our meals everytime. Eggs Benny eggs came nearly hard boiled. Lemon pancakes have absolutely NO lemon flavour and I'm talking none. They add a slice of lemon atop regular pancakes so be warned. When I mentioned to our server that it might be a mistake she said 'no, that's just how they are'. No offer to replace or make it right. The sauce it comes with is honey, not even a lemon spread or absolutely anything resembling a lemon. Why call them lemon? Confusing. The strawberry souffle pancakes are more true to their name and tasty, but keep in mind, you only get 2 for the same price. Chocolate pancakes of both types are unremarkable. Lack of flavour and food quality ... will not return.
First time visiting flippers. I got the pistachio pancakes and my partner got the fresh fruit pancakes. It was delicious and fresh. The pancakes were warm and fluffy. The scope of ice cream really takes it over the top. The servers working here today deserve a special shoutout. It’s over 40 degrees in the city and they made sure everyone had a great service.
My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and it did not disappoint! We shared the Matcha Pancake, Chicken & Waffles, a Strawberry Matcha Latte, and an Iced Latte. Everything was so good! The Matcha Pancake was unbelievably light and fluffy 😭. It practically melted in our mouths. The Chicken & Waffles were also amazing. The crispy chicken paired so well with the waffle, and the flavors balanced each other perfectly. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. They made us feel well taken care of and added to the overall experience. We highly recommend both dishes and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!
We came for brunch and ordered Flipper’s Pancake, the Chocolate Pancake, Eggs Benedict with salmon, and the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken and waffles were very good. The chicken was juicy and crunchy on the outside and the sauce that comes with it was super nice. The waffle itself was light and tasty and worked well with the chicken. The soufflé pancakes were all fluffy and soft and tasted great. You can taste the egg flavor a little clearly and I wish they could hide it more, but overall they were enjoyable and very well made. The Eggs Benedict with salmon were nice. The hollandaise was smooth and the portion was generous. The potatoes on the side were seasoned well. Service was friendly and plates looked great when they arrived. Overall a good spot if you want classic Japanese soufflé pancakes and a solid brunch in downtown Toronto.
