The head bartender at ANOTHER restaurant told me this is their favourite spot. So I gave it a try, no gatekeeping but yeah it’s crazy good. 1. Location, beautiful window seats in this area 2. Food was spectacular, will be back to try the pasta but I loved the grilled Calamari so much 3. Great service and a bartender who made me something based on mood and food choices
We came on Saturday night at 8 by walk-in. Prosciutto pizza is fresh, prosciutto is tender and clean-tasting, the cheese is creamy, the slight acidity of the base sauce perfectly cuts through the richness, only the edges of the pancake were a little overcooked. The rice of Risotto frutti di mare also creamy, rich of Seafood Broth, rosso sauce is mouthwatering, can taste the salty aroma of seawater in the mussels, shrimps and clams, but there is a gritty feeling when eating.
Lovely restaurant with tasty Italian dishes and many returning local customers. We ordered Rigatoni ai Funghi and Pappardelle Osso Buco. Both were tasty and flavourful. I preferred the former more as the flavours in my opinion were well balanced and no one ingredient was overpowered by the others. I also love the smoky roasted mushroom taste. The restaurant is small but clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Complimentary bread is included and bonus that it was just as tasty. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it was quite busy and tablea filled up quickly. There is no automatic door opener and a small step right before the entrance so not so convenient for those with baby strollers.
Overall: 7/10 The vibes in the restaurant were good, with solid music and extremely friendly servers. The food is pretty much the typical Italian food you'd expect at a restaurant. I ordered the Fried Calamari, which was tasty but a bit too salty. The sauce it came with was good (7/10). I also had the Pizza Oro, which was a pretty normal pizza. It tasted good, but it wasn't anything mind-blowing (7/10). The Bathroom (7/10): It's located downstairs, so it isn't really accessible if you can't do stairs. Otherwise, it wasn't horrible and was kept in decent shape.
Our first time here and it did not disappoint. I went with my two kids (9 & 12), and if you are a parent you know that look waitstaff have when they don’t want kids in an establishment—that did not happen here. Waitstaff were very friendly and personable without being overly attentive. Atmosphere was casual and relaxed. We did not feel rushed. Now the food! The balsamic glaze on the beetroot salad was to die for and excellent soaked up with pizza crust. Pizza was substantial and easily shared between three people; would have liked more basil but who can ever get enough basil? Pistachio gelato was delicate in flavor, good texture, not too sweet; two chocolate flavors were more like ice cream in texture. The cacio e pepe was creamy but not overly rich, the noodles delicate. We shared these three dishes and honestly could have shared one gelato but it was the kids’ first taste of gelato so we splurged. We will definitely come here again on our next vacation!
