Such a great vibe inside and out ...great service and great little menu... everything slaps ! Especially the marinated cucumbers !!!
A very vibrant restaurant/bar late at night. We ordered 3 different tacos. All delicious and well stuffed. Can get quite noisy though.
I’ve been coming back to this place for last few years now, and it used to be great! Atmosphere of course it’s an absolute 10, so are the servers and hospitality. My last visit was quite frustrating though, since I used to love their mushroom tacos, it was the best, and as a vegetarian there aren’t many options. Came to find out that they taken it off menu and put tofu ones instead, which was decent but…not even close to the taste of the mushroom ones before. Also,I was excited to get my beloved guac, and they didn’t have any:)) that was just hilarious, its same if shawarma place told you that they don’t have meat.. no guacamole at all? It made me sad hahah. Also have to mention that music has downgraded too, and it was blasting too loud, I had to leave before I could finish my meal. they used to have great music but I don’t know what happened honestly. Great vibes at El Rey! Love the atmosphere, aesthetic and energy. Small space that can get a little cramped but I loved the set up. Mushroom Pibil Tacos were delicious and the hot sauce was🔥. almost killed me but worth it lol I do wish they had more than two bathrooms because it can be a bit of a wait when busy but overall great experience here :). Our server was excellent as well, unfortunately dont remember his name but shoutout to whoever was working the night of Jan 17th.
Went here recently on a double date and we all had the lunch special — what an amazing experience! The decor inside is beautiful and gives such a vibrant, authentic Mexican feel. Our server was super friendly and the customer service was top-notch from start to finish. The lunch special was a great deal at $20, which included chips and guacamole, two tacos of your choice, and a dessert. Everything tasted incredible, but the dessert was definitely my favourite part! We also ordered the pickled cucumbers — they were so flavourful and perfectly crunchy — and the hot sauce had just the right amount of spice without overpowering the food. The cocktails were delicious, the washrooms were clean and well-kept, and overall, I’d give this place a solid 10/10. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, atmosphere, and service!
