The Twisted Bar is a casual and relaxed place to dine near Niagara On The Lake without breaking the bank. The service is warm, inviting and the atmosphere is not too overwhelming. However, I did find their flavors to be a little.... Dulled compared to other Mexican restaurants in the city. I don't mean salt, as in less aromatic, as if they were afraid to offend the Niaragra region palettes. The selection of dishes also lean very heavily toward tacos and not much else. Don't get me wrong, I had their shrimp taco and it was delicious. Their seasonal mole enchilada was also amazing. Their chile relleno was... Quite vanilla, and frankly so was the horchata. I would recommend this place for a relaxed bite to eat in the area. I would much rather eat here on the way into Niagara On the Lake and enjoy some Mexican food.
This Mexican restaurant experience was incredible. We had shrimp ceviche and the fish tacos and the flavors were fantastic. Luiza, our server, was amazing too. The restaurant is also very well decorated and it's beautiful inside. We're definitely coming back and telling friends about it!
We were on the hunt for a fun spot to eat and enjoy a few drinks during a girls’ afternoon out, and Twisted Bar did not disappoint. It was conveniently close to us and had great Google reviews, so we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did. We were greeted right away and shown to a cozy table tucked into the back corner, which made for the perfect setting to relax and laugh. Drinks came out quickly, and the menu had a great variety to choose from. Feeling a little adventurous, we even ordered roasted crickets 🦗—definitely a fun experience! The food was delicious, the service was spot on, and the atmosphere was clearly well thought out. You can tell they really pay attention to the little details. We’ll definitely be back!
Loved the look both outside and when you walk in. Happily greeted immediately and sat right away . Server was friendly and happy. Started with a shot of coconut 🥥 tequila Delicious I chose a jalapeño margarita - amazing Complimentary chips and salsa. GET A SIDE OF GUACAMOLE TO DIE FOR. I had the birria tacos with a side of rice Absolutely delicious My husband had the birria burrito and was glad he did the birria instead of asada or chicken. We will be regulars here Authentic delicious and just a great experience all around Just sad we didnt try it sooner
I absolutely LOVED my experience on my birthday yesterday at Twisted Bar. I can honestly say from my heart- the chicken in the quesadilla I ordered was the most flavourful chicken I’ve ever ate! 💕 I believe it was called Tinga chicken and I forgot to get a picture of my quesadilla before eating it, it was that good! My friend ordered shrimp tacos and also gobbled hers up super quickly too 💕 I loved the art work around the restaurant as well as the music! It was so lovely. Our server was so kind and attentive to us, she also changed the music to make it a happy birthday song to make me feel special and brought out a sweet treat. It was such a lovely gesture and I got so emotional. I forget the name of the drink I ordered but it was a ginger beer with pineapple and it was super yummy! I am truly so grateful in my heart and I will definitely be back! Those quesadillas will be calling my name 😂💕 20/10 highly recommend!
