I had been wanting to try SARA for the longest time. I loved the concept of the tasting menu!!! Every course was beautifully presented and felt like a little work of art, but the flavors were just as impressive. Just when I thought I had a favorite dish, the next one would come out and surprise me again. The service was exceptional throughout the entire evening, and the atmosphere made the whole experience feel really special. It’s easy to see why SARA has been Michelin Guide Recommended for four years. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Toronto, I’d definitely recommend it. I’ll be back! 🤍
Beautiful restaurant with a calm atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was impeccable. We chose the Seven-Course Tasting Menu, which was excellent. Overall, a very nice spot for dinner with friends or even a solo dining experience
As massive fans of The Food Dudes (they catered our wedding, so we make it a point to visit all their spots), we had high hopes for Sara—and it did not disappoint! The communication leading up to our visit was excellent. While I’m not a huge fan of having to hold a reservation with a credit card for a fixed menu, the text alerts were seamless. 24 hours before our reservation, they reached out via text to ask if we were celebrating a special occasion. Just for giggles, I said it was my husband’s birthday (even though it was three weeks ago!). The lovely person on the other end responded with so much warmth that I knew I was interacting with a real human, not a bot. Upon arrival, we were ushered upstairs by a wonderful maître d'. The space itself is stunning—right out of a Danish minimalist catalog with soft tones, wood, leather, and marble. The tables even have a clever hidden compartment containing a tea bag, a cookie, and the menu (which we weren't supposed to look at yet, oops!). The 7-course prix fixe menu, which includes two desserts, was impressive. While you can't love every single dish in a multi-course meal, the absolute standouts for us were the sashimi, the ravioli, and the sea bass. The presentation was gorgeous, and the wait staff was truly stellar. If I had one critique, it's that the vibe feels like it's trying a bit too hard to mimic a Michelin-starred restaurant. Having dined at a few during our travels, Sara gets incredibly close, but it’s not quite there yet. It is also very expensive—the final bill with the wine pairing definitely gave us a bit of sticker shock! That said, for us, it’s all about the overall experience, and this one goes down as a truly lovely, memorable evening
It's exactly what you would expect and should get from a restaurant like this. The atmosphere is really pleasant and the servers were super kind. If you can afford it or to splurge one night for a date night, I highly recommend! We did the tasting menu and I was full by the end of it - not absolutely stuffed, but definitely not hungry, I would say the perfect portion sizes.
I opted for the tasting course with the wine pairing. They serve a variety of dishes in generous portions, so I highly recommend trying the tasting menu. While no single dish blew me away, the overall experience was solid and enjoyable--I particularly loved the atmosphere and vibe!
