I'm leaving this review based on my brunch experience this weekend in the hopes that management will see it as constructive feedback. I visit Miller Tavern two or three times a year, and each visit tends to be a bit of a toss-up in terms of consistency, whether it's the food or the service. During this most recent visit, we were asked if we had a reservation to sit on the patio. When I said we didn't, the hostess explained that we could either sit in the lounge seats or they would have to open another section. I asked if they could please open another section, only to find that the restaurant wasn't particularly busy to begin with. That said, I do love the patio—it feels like a little oasis in the middle of the city. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the atmosphere. We didn't feel particularly welcomed, and the overall experience felt a bit disengaged. The brunch menu also left us wanting a little more. I really enjoy Miller Tavern's dinner menu, which offers a great variety of interesting dishes, but the brunch selection felt somewhat limited and lacked options that stood out. I also wish the coffee would be improved. It was very watery and didn't taste much like coffee, and the lemonade tasted more like a powdered mix than fresh lemonade. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were large, and the sauce was delicious. The only suggestion I'd make is to elevate the presentation a little, as the flavour deserved a more polished presentation. Overall, Miller Tavern has a beautiful atmosphere and plenty of potential, but I hope the consistency in both service and the brunch experience can better reflect the quality of the restaurant.
Came here for Mother’s Day brunch. We had a reservation and was seated promptly. The food was excellent. The menu was prix fixed, and came to $325 for three including three drinks and tip. The seating was spacious which I loved. The decor had an art deco feel to it. The only thing I would change… it was Mother’s Day and they had rugby on the televisions, which based on the people I saw in the dining room, no one wanted to see. Furthermore, our waiter was so fixated on the arsenal game and that conversation dominated our table when he stopped by. I tried to ask a question and he sped off. He also kept chatting with my husband but flatly ignored me, even when I got up from my table to ask him something he was rather rude. Other than that, it was great.
My goodness this place is like being on cloud 11 and forgetting about the world around. Anna was our waitress and her energy and professionalism is on point. Food was delicious. We had salads and got full on them!! The chicken was to die for. But truly the vibe ans comfort and good energy in this place is worth the visit AND Anna! If you get her your meal will be nothing less than spotless. Thank you Anna!
Foods were incredible! We came for buck a shuck tuesday oyster and it was so fresh! And tried the best seller wagyu burger and holyyy meat was tenderr and juicy! We tried beef tartar and beef brisket and it was chef’s kiss too! Our server Maria, has extensive knowledge of the perfect wine pairing for each dish and her recommendation is top tier ! She always checked in on us and made sure our experience is flawless ! John, the manager greeted us warmly and even checked in on us to made sure everything is going great! Overall i will come backkk!
Went for a party. Had burger that they said was medium but it was still mowing. It was delicious but it should’ve been cook a bit more. Salad to start was tasty but some of the lettuce was wilted and brown. Also had Caesar salad with the burger instead of fries but the lettuce was old and a lot of the salad was the hard rib instead of the leaf part of the lettuce. Quite a few looked old and brown. Dessert was lovely. However, the food is worth a try. Service was good. But our waitress somehow forgot our hot water for tea. She felt so bad but it was so funny. A teapot with no water.
