THE Bar in Toronto! The comforts of home in a slick, vibey venue. AMAZING drinks and incredible food. For example, we just returned from a winter in Spain and Portugal and the Octopus at the LB was as good if not better than in Europe! Mushroom Pâté and fried chicken were off the charts. The drinks are second to none…whether the old classics or the cutting edge new kids on the club…they are mastered. The service is warm, entertaining and professional as can be…ask for René. The Library Bar is René and René is The Library Bar.
A wonderful cocktail expierece. There is a storybook full of all the crafted cocktails, connected to the story of Toronto. It is clear a lot of care and effort was put into these drinks. I had the "Peaches on Friday" drink, and it was an amazing expierece and was delicious. I'm not too big on alcohol, but I will be thinking about this cocktail for a long time. The atmosphere was great, the waiters are very kind and knowledgeable about the menu.
Lovely cocktail bar. The decor is like an old-time smoking lounge or study. Very warm and comfortable. Love the cocktail menu. A fancy drink for everyone and a bit of a work of art. Cozy and intimate seating. The food was great. We had the olives, brussel sprouts, and a dip. Everything was well prepared and delicious!! I do recommend a reservation bc it can be quite packed.
This is my all-time favourite bar in Toronto. The atmosphere and the interior is unmatched, and the menu is very interesting and changes from time to time- with the exception of the staple Birdbath Martini that's always on the menu. Reservation is highly recommended. This time we went in fir 4 pm, which was wonderful but by 4:30 they deemed the lights down. I just wish they wouldn't do that. The deemed lights that early was too dark. I enjoy seeing the architecture and the arts on the walls.
Loved our evening at Library Bar inside the Fairmont Royal York. Our service was lovely, and went above and beyond to modify our small plates to accommodate our vegan diet. The cocktails were excellent and I enjoyed the presentation of the Birdbath Martini. Perfect spot for a date night or drinks with friends.
