Amazing experience at Simona! The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. We celebrated our friend’s birthday here and they let us bring in a cake dessert from outside and lit it for us (you have to bring your own dessert and candles though). We also had a quiet experience as we came mid-day during a Friday afternoon. It was a lovely experience overall, and staff are very friendly. Will definitely be visiting back again soon!
*Disclaimer* I am not writing this review because our server asked us to. Although she did hand us her QR code, I was going to write a review anyways. I'm not actually going to even put her name because truthfully she wasn't that great, just nothing special. Anyways, I came tonight with two friends who frequent Simona and we all had AMAZING food. I would 10/10 recommend this place for the food. Service... average. We had meatballs, the focaccia (add the ricotta and honey!), tuna tartare, and watermelon feta salad with shrimp. Everything was awesome. The only critique would be that the shrimp still had their tails on and the olives had their pits. The latter I don't mind as much. I did order a tequila soda and it came out tequila on the rocks lol, which was fine but again... Service piece.
My recent visit to Simona was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service and food exceeded expectations. We started with the bone marrow, Wagyu beef carpaccio, bruschetta, and truffle pizza. The Wagyu carpaccio was delicate and rich, while the truffle pizza had the perfect balance of earthy truffle flavor and crispy crust. The bone marrow was indulgent and satisfying, and the bruschetta was fresh and vibrant. For drinks, we tried the virgin piña colada, lychee margarita, and the Peach Basil Bianca Sangria. While all three were excellent, the Peach Basil Bianca Sangria was easily the standout of the afternoon. To finish, we ordered the lemon tiramisu, which came highly recommended by our server, Sam. It absolutely lived up to the hype. The bright lemon flavor gave a refreshing twist to a classic dessert and was the perfect ending to the meal. A special thank you to our server, Sam, for the fantastic recommendations and attentive service throughout the evening. I’d also like to acknowledge Mrunali, the hostess, who was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. She quickly helped us relocate to a seating area we preferred and made sure we were comfortable from the start.
We went to Simoa for Mother’s Day and honestly had such a nice experience. Trev, our server, was amazing from the start—super kind, really welcoming, and just had that effortless way of making you feel taken care of without being over the top or pushy. He really made the meal feel special, especially for a Mother’s Day dinner. We didn’t have a reservation and had our dog with us, but they still managed to seat us quickly on the patio, which we really appreciated. Food-wise, everything was great. We got the lobster linguine, fungi truffle pasta, calabrese pizza, and arancini—everything came out tasting great and felt like decent portions too. Only small thing is the patio could definitely use a bit of a refresh, and it was pretty chilly out there in May, so some heaters would make a big difference. Overall though, really good food, great service, and a genuinely nice vibe. Would definitely go back.
Excellent date night spot! Took my partner here for our anniversary, and they even gave us a free dessert to celebrate the occasion. Food was amazing! We ordered the hot and honey pizza, calamari, beef cheek & carbonara, and everything was delicious! The staff were very warm and attentive. The atmosphere & decor was inviting. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend checking this place out!
