I see why this place is called Crack Burger 😂. Haven't had a burger this craveable in a long time. We ordered the crack double burger combo and it was delicious. It was layered so well with cheese, meat, and caramelized onions. The fries were absolutely perfect too - nice and crispy, salted, and felt like it might have been fried in a little bit of beef fat? Whatever it was I could have eaten a bucket full of them. The guy running the show here is super nice, very easy to talk to and seems to really care a lot about the customers. Also watched him give a drink to a delivery guy on a hot day. He was also considerate enough to have the guys making the food to cut the burger in half after we told him we were sharing it. Will definitely be back to have this again sometime!
I can see why this place would be called Crack Burger, as it would probably be addictive to any local lol. In all seriousness, as a fellow New Yorker who has had thousands of burgers in his life, this place is the one! When I saw the "best burger in Toronto " sign I called it bluff. That sign was the first thing that caught my eye going into Kensington and to be honest I wasn't feeling a burger at that time so I kept my options open. After walking around and not seeming impressed by anything else, the girlfriend and I decided to give it a shot. And let me just say we were both immediately humbled. From here on out we will have to compare every burger we try to this one. The fries were amazing as well but boy that burger was something else! This place definitely raised our standards! My coworkers and I have been wanting to try the 'best burger in town' for a past few months. Finally, after a few failed too early attempts I was able to. You're greeted with a spotless, well laid out interior, reminiscent of a newly opened hometown burger joint, simple stools, ketchup dispenser, napkin holder and a red neon sign...yes I said that in my best Anthony Bourdain voice. I was greeted with an unexpected, 'how did you hear about us', without a pause I replied, I work for the TTC, I've been trying to come here for a long time. Now that I'm here, what do you recommend? The owner was direct and straight to the point, Crack Burger if it's your first time, we make everything fresh and to order, we marinate our onions 24 hrs before and our fries are hand cut fresh never frozen, our burgers are made fresh never frozen. Done, I'll take a combo. When the burger arrived, he made sure to tell me it's hot to give it a minute. I gotta say, the burger is everything I've read about on all the prior reviews. Juicy, delicious, tasty and worth every minute of wait time. The fries were really good as well, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Perfect for sitting at the window, watching the world go by, while enjoying your lunch. I highly recommend you dropping by this burger restaurant for what I would also say as the best burger in town.
Elite burger, regardless of style. Crack does a smashburger and it's easily one of the best in the city. Stopped by and got: - Double Jalapeno Crack Burger: The patties were perfectly crispy on the side and flattened to overflow the bun. The cheese was generously melted to seep through everything. The bun was nicely bouncy. And the caramelized onions were just the right level of sweetness to balance the jalapenos. As close to a perfect burger as you can get. - The Elvis: A milkshake with banana, peanut butter, chocolate and bacon. A cardiac arrest worthy of the king. Place is mainly takeout but there's counter seating if you want to dine in. Prices are fair. Kitchen is quick. People and vibe are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot.
Definitely one of the top burgers in Toronto. I got the Jalapeño crack burger. I love that they have jalapeños and crack onions as toppings. It’s quite unique. The bun was perfectly soft. The patty was just thick enough. I would’ve liked a little more char and crispy skirt edges. The whole thing was delicious. On top of the amazing burger, I love was the passion the owner brings. Yes, he is larger than life as many other reviews have mentioned. Genuinely talkative and nice. Truly cares about the experience and the burger craft. Totally meets the Kensington market vibe ;) Keep it up!
