Decided to treat myself for father's day, dropped by around 8pm and the place was packed. I got a small table without any wait time which was nice cause 2 other places I walked by told me at least a hour wait. I started frantically ordering everything I thought was good, about 30 different items which I won't bother listing since I wi post the photos. Here is my opinion: seafood is generally a hit, all the salmon, Butterfish, scallops, shrimp I had were all delicious and fresh. The luxury rolls are also good but careful since the mayo/creamy flavor is quite strong. The least favourite: shrimp tempura tasted super oily, could barely finish the 2 I ordered. The yam and mushroom tempura were good though which is weird since you'd think they would all be oily. The beef skewer was also a miss for me, the meat was tough and dry. The soup dumpling was "meh", like steamed from frozen. The tiramisu was "okay", definitely not as good as costco tiramisu or from a cafe but enough to end the meal satisfied. If it's your first time using the tablet to order, don't forget to actually send the order...I spent like 10 minutes waiting wondering why it was taking so long before the waiting showed me. The total after tax for holiday is $49.
We went to august 8 on a weekday for their dinner menu! They serve decent quality sashimi and their sushi rolls are also delicious. However, their short ribs were the worst ribs i have ever tried in any ayce restaurants. There were barely any meat, all fat and I had to spit it out every time I took a bite because of how weird the texture and taste were. The dessert menu here is also limited and also the aesthetic of this restaurant was quite underwhelming. Overall, first time trying this restaurant but most likely the last.
I went to August 8 for Japanese food. I’m not really a big fan of sashimi, so I chose to go at lunchtime. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. At lunch, you can order from both the lunch and dinner all-you-can-eat menus, which was nice. I think at night you can only order from the dinner menu, and a lot of the dinner options are sashimi, which isn’t that appealing to me. We ended up ordering a lot of fried items, and honestly, it got a bit greasy after a while. They seem to like coating many of their fried dishes with a kind of egg yolk layer, which gives it a unique texture, but eating too much of it can feel heavy. The sushi was okay but not very memorable, and not really my personal taste. The ice cream, though, was really good. Drinks were a bit expensive — canned Coke was about $3.99 each. It might actually be a good idea to bring your own drink, especially since there’s so much fried food and it can get a little overwhelming. One thing to note is that they charge a 2.4% fee for credit card payments. The servers were very quick to clear plates, which I appreciated, so I tipped well.
Sushi was great...fresh & flavorful. Some of the meats could have used some salt but that could just be my preference. Service with a smile!! Place was clean and cozy. Atmosphere was good...not noisy. You can have a normal volume conversation with the people at your table. I was impressed overall.
The quality of the food was top notch. The beef ribs were ribbing. Nice thick meaty pieces instead of the thin grisly ones you usually get at other ayce places. The fish/sushi was fresh and delicious. The only item I did not like was the specialty wagyu pieces that are limited to 3 per person. Ours were soooo dry, tough, and cold as if they had been plated and sitting out for a good 30 mins or something. Not a fan at all. The only other negative I'd say is how narrow/small the place is. For a group of 5, we were sat at a 4 person booth and given an extra chair for the end. Our booth was right by the kitchen entrance so the person in the chair had to deal with all the traffic constantly. The booth beside us had 2 people with chairs on the end for a group of 6. Yikes. Lol. But the staff were great, the food was amazing, and I'd definitely be back with a group of 4 or less for sure.
