Held my wedding ceremony and reception here in early May. La Luce was the right place for our wedding. Carmelina was very professional and helpful throughout the process, getting ahold of her sometimes was a challenge but she always came through. On the day of, although she was not there due to personal reasons, her staff, Richard, Philip, Sophie and the rest were amazing. They were always present, quick for anything we asked for and were most professional. The food was amazing, very filling and great portions. It was an amazing event and although things happened, staff were present to make sure things ran smoothly. Highly recommend La Luce for food or events, they will take care of you with A+ service, atmosphere, and food. Also they had a baby shower the same day as the wedding but we never heard it. The sound of the place is great.
We had our daughters 1st Communion reception at La.Luce this past weekend and it was such a lovely experience.. The service was exceptional. The staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious & bursting with flavor (my very italian father also agreed) The Calamari, Antipasto plates, Penne Vodka sauce, Salmon & Veal Marsala are our favorites! Caramelina is a joy to work with, so funny & personable. We hired her daughter to decorate and set up for our event. Ive attached pictures to show her work. She made the atmosphere feel cozy and beautiful. I highly recommend trusting them with your event , it was such a wonderful day! Thank you for everything!
Carmelina took our vague ideas and turned them into a stunning reality that was even better than we imagined. On the night of the dinner we didn't have to worry about a single detail—Carmelina handled everything with total professionalism. Absolute pleasure to work with a venue that takes care of everything.
Location is prime and very warm and hospitable ambience when you enter. Well illuminated and hygienic. I drove from Mississauga all the way to north York for our anniversary and Carmelina had confirmed 📞 everything will be taken cared of. When entered we were seated at the table which was reserved for us 💯. Gerald was amazing from start to finish 💯. What really caused me to write this review was that there was no communication passed from the form in which I had written “anniversary” to being reconfirmed by Carmelina that a cake needs to be arranged as committed. The server had no clue neither the manager. Starters - The seared scallops had an unusual after taste of baking soda so did the chefs special entree chilli shrimp pasta you just can’t miss the baking soda taste in them overpowering the meat. The pasta was little over spicy with red chilli flakes though I had mentioned to keep it mild. Lamb rack was great and justified the price. All in all was little disappointed spending 200$ on a dinner for this quality and lack of communication driving that far.
We celebrated my husband's birthday dinner here and had such a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was phenomenal. Everything from start to finish was perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!
