I had a great experience at The Blake House, and mostly on account of the excellent service provided by Stephen on the spacious and comfortable patio. The chicken burger was pretty good (pretty standard). The fries were cut in house and very good. The beers were cold and crisp. Overall, I'd highly recommend The Blake House!

We had a fantastic dinner here with our family of seven, including four kids, and everyone absolutely loved it! The food was excellent – from the burgers and steak to the pasta, salads, mac & cheese, and fish & chips. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. What really stood out was the outstanding service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal together. It’s not always easy to find a restaurant where both adults and kids leave happy, but this place delivered on every level. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Came here for a quick meal before a show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre (SuperSonic Oasis Tribute band!) which is about a 10 min walk away. Overall the meal was great and service was good! Only complaint is that the onion soup isn’t up to par with other restaurants / pubs and the drinks took about 10 mins to arrive. Nice patio and would be back again if we are in the area!

I visited Blake House Restaurant at Jarvis by myself without a reservation and tried their fish and chips. Overall, it was a good experience and I would give it 4 stars. The fish itself was enjoyable. The combination of the halibut taste with the crispy coating around it worked well, and the fish was tasty enough that I would consider ordering it again if I come back. The only downside for me was the fries. They felt a bit over-fried with a noticeable oil taste, and there were lots of small and hard potato pieces on the plate. It kind of seemed like the end of the fries container was poured onto the dish, which was not very appealing. The atmosphere had a classic bar and restaurant feeling, relaxed and comfortable, and I can imagine coming back again with some friends for drinks and food together. Special thanks to Katie for being kind and making sure everything was okay during my visit. Really appreciated the service.

The Classic Back Bacon Benedict at The Blake House was a standout. The eggs were poached beautifully with a rich, runny yolk, and the hollandaise had that perfect buttery tang. The back bacon was thick and savoury, adding just the right amount of richness. The potato hash deserves its own shoutout — crispy edges, soft inside, and seasoned just right. Together, it made for a balanced and memorable brunch. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere, too.
