The vibes here were sooo great and our waiter was so friendly! We got steaks and the sticky toffee pudding. Pudding was AMAZING. Best we have ever had, and we still talk about it weeks later. However, I could not say the same for the steaks. They were both on the tougher side, even tho we asked for medium rare. They were still good tho, just not exactly what we were expecting. Overall, this place is still great and I recommend it for groups!!

Service was excellent and atmosphere is old school lovely. Food was unfortunately disappointing. For appetizers, fried smelt was nicely crisped but flavourless, coconut shrimp was standard bar fare. Side of brussel sprouts was decent though more raw than I prefer, crispy potatoes was excellent. The steak was quite good, cooked as ordered and tender. The pork chop, however, was so over salted that I had to double check the menu to make sure it wasn't meant to be cured pork or something. I have very rarely encountered inedible restaurant dishes but this was one of them. We might come back for the vibe and get a drink at the bar, but it certainly wasn't the culinary experience that we were expecting from reveiws and for the price. Have to wonder if many of the rave reviews are tinted by nostalgia or we just hit an off night.

Good food, solid service! Went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and everything was on point. Hats down to Chef Monica for being very accommodating and making sure we were taken care of. Great spot to hang out, eat well, and celebrate with family and friends!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredible — you can really taste the quality and care put into everything. I loved that everything is made in-house, including the burger patty and even the mayonnaise, which made the meal feel fresh and authentic. The ambiance was warm and cozy, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy good food. The staff were outstanding — very welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. I even had the chance to have a conversation with the chefs, and they were incredibly kind and passionate about what they do. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be coming back!!!

It was a beautiful surprise coming back to Toronto and visiting The Maple Leaf Tavern with family. The space feels warm and cozy, with a whole new kind of clientele. I lived in this neighborhood for nearly 30 years, and I remember when it was mostly Legion regulars and hardcore drinkers, so seeing what it’s become now is honestly eye opening in the best way. The food was spectacular. The pot pie looked divine, the burrata was excellent, and the cheeseburger was absolutely perfect. Just how I like it, rare. Service was warm and attentive. Our waitress was thoughtful, informative, and made the experience even better. Thank you for a wonderful meal. I’ll definitely be back.
