We came here to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience was classy, elegant yet cozy, not stuffy. Our server was very friendly, attentive and responsive to our needs. We ordered the 26-ingredient slaw, the lobster and shrimp pad Thai and the rack of lamb with polenta, raisin pistachio compote and goat cheese. The slaw was carefully tossed for us— perfectly dressed and burst of various flavors. The pad Thai noodles in this egg pouch that you break apart and mix together. Minho’s and LOVED the lamb. It was so tender and paired with just the right contrast of sweetness from the compote and richness from the polenta, cheese and the sauce They were all super delicious, flavorful blend of ingredients presented and served so beautifully. It’s a splurge but well worth the whole experience.
We came here with 5ppl, we ordered 5 summerlicious, Singapore style slaw with salmon, 4 cocktails and a glass of wine. For appetizers in summerlicious, we liked BBQ JERK PORK RIBS the most, a little bit spicy. The slaw was soooo goood but 20$ for 6 pieces of salmon? That’s ridiculous. For the main dish, nothing was impressive. We got 4 salmons, one of them was overcooked. For the dessert, we ordered 3 Rhubarb tart and 2 Panna cotta. Unfortunately, they ran out of tart. The manager came to tell us to change to another dessert from the regular menu. We chose WARM MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE, SESAME CRÈME BRÛLÉE and FRENCH & CHINESE TONG YUEN (their signature dessert). Usually FRENCH & CHINESE TONG YUEN came with 4 pieces but the manager gave us only 2 pieces, which is a little bit stingy. Those cocktails were good. Our server was good, he gave us good service.
I have been a huge fan of the owner of this restaurant Susur Lee for more than a decade and followed his journey. So you can imagine how high my expectations were when I dined here yesterday . Def not disappointed by the ambiance and quality of food and even though the dishes were fusion they were delicious and spot on flavour and presentation. We came with a reservation and were seated promptly. The servers were friendly and had knowledge of the menu. One dish we went with by their suggestion was the 22 ingredient salad which was mind blowing in taste. I enjoyed every spoonful! Fresh and flavourful bomb! The other dishes were Asian Braised beef, caramelized onions with cod and spicy Cheung fun with huge shrimps with a red sauce. I could taste all the aromatic ingredients used in their fusion cooking and also the layer of flavours. Service was excellent but donot know what happened towards the end so was disappointed about that! Had the pleasure to meet the man himself “Susur Lee”. What a down to earth soul. We conversed for a short while about his journey! Loved the simple decor! Parking can be found if you drive around but weekends is a little difficult.
Tried Lee Restaurant in Toronto for my birthday after seeing it all over social media—and it definitely lived up to the hype in some ways. We ordered a variety of dishes including the Cheung Fun (rice noodle), braised beef, cod, and their famous 26-ingredient slaw. The standout, without a doubt, was the slaw. It’s something I’d genuinely recommend going out of your way for—huge portion, packed with flavor, and a really unique mix of Asian influences with a slight Chinese-Thai vibe. Easily the highlight of the meal. The Cheung Fun was also really good and a bit different from what you usually see—it had a crispy shrimp inside the fresh rice noodle, which you could tell was made in-house. Our only note would be the sauce—it was poured over and came off a bit salty, so having it on the side might make it even better. The braised beef was solid—tender and well-cooked, and the potatoes alongside it were done nicely. The cod was also good overall, cooked properly with a light tomato-based flavor that complemented it well. Overall, a great experience, especially for a special occasion. While not every dish was mind-blowing, the slaw alone makes this place worth visiting. If you’re in Toronto, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
We recently hosted a birthday celebration for my brother and I at Lee Restaurant, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The planning process was seamless thanks to Tiana, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She accommodated a fully halal menu, carefully considered dietary restrictions, provided custom menu options, and remained incredibly flexible when we needed to make a few last minute adjustments. Her professionalism and attention to detail made organising a large family gathering effortless. As for the food, it was easy to see why Lee Restaurant deserves its place on the Michelin Guide. Every dish showcased thoughtful technique, bold flavours, and a level of creativity that elevated the dining experience. Standout dishes included the Gazpacho Picante topped with sautéed shrimp, the Signature Singaporean Style Slaw, the Mini Burrata Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, the “Luckee” Lobster & Shrimp Cheung Fun, the Wild Caramelized Black Cod, and the restaurant’s signature French & Chinese Tong Yuen for dessert. Each course was beautifully prepared, packed with flavour, and perfectly paced. The portions were also surprisingly generous, and we even had leftovers to take home. One of the highlights of the evening was the non alcoholic sangria cart featuring more than 26 different fruits. It was interactive, refreshing, and a unique touch that our entire group enjoyed. This was my first visit to Lee’s new location, and I was impressed by the elegant dining room, comfortable seating, and warm atmosphere. The service throughout the evening was exceptional. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and our server Chloe took wonderful care of our table, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Lee Restaurant delivered the kind of memorable dining experience that is increasingly difficult to find. The food was exceptional, the hospitality was genuine, and every detail was thoughtfully executed. We left feeling celebrated, well fed, and already looking forward to our next visit.
