We had an amazing experience here and would definitely come back. We tried the $49.99 bottomless package, which includes up to seven cocktails, and it was a great value considering the variety available. The drinks were creative, refreshing, and genuinely delicious, and each one had its own distinct flavour rather than tasting like a variation of the same cocktail. My only small question was the strength of the drinks. They tasted excellent, but they seemed lighter than I expected based on the listed pours. Even so, I still really enjoyed them and would highly recommend the package for the selection, presentation, and overall value. The food was also fantastic. The Crispy Chicken Croissant, made with bacon, orange-maple syrup, and kumquats, was one of the highlights. The croissant was flaky, and the combination of sweet, savoury, and citrus flavours worked incredibly well together. The chicken itself was tender, juicy, and packed with flavour—it was not a dish that relied only on the toppings. We also tried the Wagyu Beef Sliders, which came with eggs and truffled cheese salsa. They were rich, flavourful, and very satisfying. The Truffled Mushroom Rice was another standout. It came with Japanese mushrooms, a rich egg yolk, queso fresco, Parmesan, and chives. It was definitely different from a typical rice dish, but everything worked well together, and I would recommend trying it. The service was five stars. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. They checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and never made us feel rushed. The atmosphere was just as impressive as the food. The patio was massive and beautifully set up, with plenty of seating and even a section with outdoor patio sectionals that looked perfect for relaxing with a group. The restaurant had amazing art and decor throughout, which gave the entire space a fun and stylish personality. Even the walk to the washrooms was memorable. There was a colourful splatter-art wall under black light just before the washroom area, which was really entertaining to see. The washrooms themselves were extremely clean and well maintained. Overall, the food, cocktails, service, cleanliness, patio, art, and atmosphere were all excellent. This would be a great spot for brunch with friends, a date, a celebration, or a larger group looking for a fun dining experience. Highly recommended.
Had a great experience at Chotto Matte! The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The sushi roll was fresh, the wagyu sliders were juicy and the tacos were a pleasant surprise. The cocktails were definitely a highlight, creative, fun and the flaming presentation made the experience even more memorable. We also visited during the World Cup, and the $9 Asahi Super Draft (16oz) game day special was such a great deal. Perfect place to enjoy good food, drinks and catch the match. The atmosphere was lively, the service was friendly and everything came out quickly. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
It was my first time attending Chotto matte for sure easy to locate cause it’s right outside of union so I love that type of convenience but I already knew it was gonna be expensive again because it was right outside of union and that’s right where financial district is When I first walked in the service was really welcoming. It was kind and warming. I liked it. The restaurant atmosphere was for sure different. It was nice. Don’t really know what theme was going on, but it was a vibe. Now I went there to meet up with a long-term friend that I’ve been trying to link with for a while and we finally have a chance to we get their services gray and we ordered the steak and sushi meal, which is $75 per person the way it’s projected. Is you each get your own meal that is put on the menu which is what you expect at any restaurant but how they served our meal was together and it kind of felt like a rip off not even kind of it really was a ripoff overpriced for nothing. You each get to choose one wine that you would like and then you would get your sushi rolls with your steak, but I’m gonna attach a photo and that photo is the meal of both of us so I feel like for $75 we just really had like an appetizer and then they kind of just turned the offer of buying anything else. It kind of made me wonder how many sushi rolls would have came plated if I were to just order off of the menu For sure it’s a great experience I guess but just come prepared and just know that you are not getting two separate meals. If you doing sushi and steak they kinda took a great deal and made that into like a weird experience. They should’ve done a lot more than that, or at least mentioned it to the customer before buying into it. I would say, though their sushi was packed a flavor. Sadly, my steak was cold, even when we asked for them to reheat it it still came cold, but because we were so hungry, we ate it anyways will we come back again probably not Again you live you learn, but this would be my warning out to anybody who wants to experience this restaurant. So and everything, their bathrooms are super super dark so there is no taking selfies, especially as a woman who loves to take bathroom pictures like who doesn’t that is not possible in the bathroom I like how their mirrors are, but like it was impossible to see yourself in there
Chotto Matte is hands down one of my favourite brunch spots in Toronto! The entire experience feels like stepping into a tropical jungle in the heart of the city. Their jungle-themed brunch is so much fun, with incredible performers creating an energetic atmosphere and even exotic birds available for photos. It’s the perfect place for a girls’ brunch, birthday celebration, or simply a fun weekend outing. The food is absolutely outstanding. I love the unique Peruvian-Japanese fusion menu, and every dish is beautifully presented, colourful, fresh, and packed with flavour. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the presentation and the taste. The cocktails are fantastic as well and complement the menu perfectly. What really sets Chotto Matte apart is that it offers more than just a meal - it’s a full experience. Between the vibrant entertainment, stunning décor, delicious food, and lively atmosphere, it’s one of the most memorable brunch experiences in the city. I always leave excited to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and fun!

The atmosphere felt lively and special without being overly formal, making it a great spot for a celebration or a night out. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back.
