Absolutely great service and the food came fairly quickly. The food came so fresh and they were all delicious! As a group visiting from Chicago and had no more agenda left on our trip, we stumbled upon this gem while walking around the Distillery District. Their patio caught my eye at first because it was super cute, then we looked at their menu and decided to dine in! We ate at the patio since it was a beautiful afternoon where it wasn’t too hot. The ambiance was perfect to end our weekend trip in Toronto. When the tuna steak came out, all you heard was “Woah” because of the beautiful presentation and you can see how fresh the tuna was! And we were so right. The tuna was soooo good and sooo fresh. My friend is somewhat of a picky and not so healthy eater but he gave it a try and was so impressed. I’m adding this place to my list of restaurants we loved. Until next time!
We had a really good experience. The staff were super nice and welcoming. They were doing their best to serve as soon as possible I could see that.. The vibe in the café was amazing. Lastly, food was great..
Loved my visit to BOKU Japanese Eats + Drinks in the Distillery District! Great food, a calm and relaxing vibe, and super friendly, professional service. Bonus points for their excellent sake selection. Definitely coming back.
I always enjoy stopping for a bite when I'm in the distillery district. Super nice staff, place is clean, always a nice vibe. Food is good. Not always the busiest place but you will see people coming in for pick up. Nice hot bowl of ramen on a chilly day is always nice. They do have vegetarian options as well.
When we walked in, there was just another couple wrapping up their food after which we were the only guests in the entire restaurant. The reason I had to mention the above is that the server or the cook STILL messed up our 1 sole order of Katsu curry rice 😆. We ordered Takoyaki and Shrimp Katsu curry and we received chicken. We ended up keeping the chicken and ordered 1 more shrimp curry. Takoyaki: Delicious, soft, hot Takoyaki. As you can see in the pictures they look great. Chicken Katsu: The Katsu chicken itself was mediocre where I felt that there was no salt however it was decently crispy. The curry quantity for me was very less. I would have liked more of some curry. Nothing special about the curry, I could taste turmeric in it. Shrimp Katsu: It was okay! Quantity: Talking about the food quantity - I feel the portion size was big given the chicken and shrimp pieces. Price: Even though these prices are normal these days, I still feel it could have been a little lower. But also given its location in distillery I think that's what it is. Overall a nice place but nothing outstanding.
