We had such a wonderful dining experience here. The Tuna/Mushroom Pizza was the dish I was most excited to try, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The AB Wagyu Tacos were another highlight — the wagyu was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We also ordered the Perfect Storm Rolls, which were beautifully presented and very well balanced. One dish that really surprised me was the lamb dish — I unfortunately don’t remember the exact name, but it was the only item I chose without checking any recommendations, and it turned out to be amazing. For dessert, we ordered the AB Cigar mainly because of its unique cigar-shaped presentation, but the taste was even better than expected. The little soccer ball dessert on the side, with a creamy citrus ice cream flavor, was also such a fun and impressive touch. I believe it was a special item for the World Cup period. The restaurant also kindly wrote a message for our anniversary, which made the night feel extra special. Overall, the atmosphere was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service felt very thoughtful. I would happily recommend this place to different friends, and I genuinely think it is one of the standout fine dining restaurants in Toronto at this price point.
Absolutely incredible experience at Akira Back Toronto. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive, professional, and welcoming. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor—the perfect balance of creativity and quality ingredients. The sushi rolls was exceptionally fresh, the signature dishes were unforgettable, and every recommendation from the staff exceeded expectations. The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable, making it perfect for a special night out! What truly sets Akira Back apart is the attention to detail. From the cocktails to the desserts, everything felt thoughtfully curated and executed to perfection. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers on food, service, and ambiance at such a high level, but Akira Back does exactly that. Without a doubt one of the best dining experiences in Toronto. Worth every penny, and I can’t wait to return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Every visit to Akira Back is memorable. The staff go the extra mile to make the experience special and are great at walking you through the dishes and drinks. On our most recent visit, we got to meet Chef Akira himself and it was awesome to talk with the person behind one of our favourite spots. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We have our staples but love trying new things each time, and we're never disappointed. Brian, the bartender, makes incredible cocktails and is always happy to create something custom. Whether it's a special occasion or just a nice dinner out, Akira delivers on food, drinks, and service.
Went to Akira Back for the first time last night. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was great, and the food was amazing. I especially enjoyed the wagyu nigiri. Anything with truffle is great. Pair that with black garlic and wagyu and you have great flavour. Honestly, every dish was balanced excellently. Lychee martini was notable as well. Not too sweet like other places. Perfect balance.
The service was amazing. Our server Daniel gave me and my girlfriend a nice anniversary date once we sat down. Offering us beverages and kept our drinks full. Cleaned our plates seconds after finishing. Akira back has a really nice atmosphere and a super chill vibe
