i really liked moxies! the service here is amazing and everyone was so friendly and attentive throughout our meal. the staff checked in on us often, and we never felt rushed. we ordered the chicken alfredo, beyond meat burger, and the calamari & shrimp to share. the food was really good and definitely filling. for dessert we got the mile high mocha pie. we didn’t realize it was an ice cream dessert when we ordered it, but it was so good. the slice is huge, and i’d say one piece is enough for about three people to share.
The food and beverages here are good. The atmosphere can get a little bit loud sometimes, but you can still chat. Last time I visited I received "okay" service but it wasn't great. My server was pleasant and nice but she seemed to forget about me often. I would still come back though.
One of the best service experiences I’ve ever had at a Moxies! I came in for dinner with a group and we were lucky enough to have Caroline as both our server and bartender. We sat right beside the bar and were amazed at how efficient and organized she was. She was taking care of our table, serving guests at the bar, and making drinks for the restaurant, all while maintaining a positive attitude and never missing a beat. We’re visiting from New Jersey, and Caroline truly made our experience memorable. We did notice that our food was taking a little longer than expected, but before we could even mention it, she proactively let us know that the kitchen was running behind. She kept us entertained with her sense of humor, checked in frequently, and even offered dessert (an ice cream cake better than Dairy Queen) to make up for the wait. Her bubbly personality, attentiveness, and professionalism made us completely forget about the delay. When the food arrived, everything was fantastic. Thank you for making our visit such a great one! We’ll definitely be asking for Caroline the next time we’re in town.
Loved my time here at this Moxies location. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed — comfortable for a casual lunch without feeling too formal. I started with the sweet potato fries, which were crispy and came with a good dip. For my main I had the Tuna Poke Bowl — fresh, well-seasoned, and everything in the bowl worked well together. Generous portion too. Service was attentive throughout. Would definitely come back!
Came on a Friday night before a show at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. First comment. Great location for the theatre. Maybe a four minute walk but you don’t have the jam packed atmosphere of a restaurant next to the theatre. Second, the service was great and ensured we’d be in and out for our show. Reso was 6:15, and we had ample time for drinks, starters and mains, and out by 7:15. Nathan our waiter was awesome…perfect combo of fun and attentive. Made the experience 👌 Third, the food was great value. Toronto can be pricey, but Moxies is on the button for their price of meals for a family of four in a good location, with the modern vibe of downtown, and with great food that’s flavourful, portioned well, and overall yum. Lastly, we will be back as our go to for pre-show dinners! Thanks Moxies team!
