We had the best time dining at Koi last night. Tevin, the owner was so nice and accommodating. Informed us that we might have a little longer wait because he was working solo and there was 6 of us. But the food was totally worth the wait! Our Inari sushis were so yummy! Also had their edamame, gyoza and chicken karage, the beef udon combo which came with a salad, and everything was just delicious! We will definitely be coming back again! Such a gem in Kensington Market! Thank you Tevin for taking such great care of us!
I stopped by one afternoon with my mother for a little nibble and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Torched Salmonand Traffic Light rolls, and they were so fantastic that we came back the very next day for more. The pieces are generous in size, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. The service was outstanding—everyone was so friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is a little rundown and the space is small, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for delicious sushi at a great value.
It was a good experience dining - in at this restaurant. It has an indoor and outdoor seating. Some great options for sake lovers. I had the protein meal, and that has a miso soup and 4 different types of pocket sushi’s. I went there for a different sushi experience and I would say this is a good place with some unique options
Best Japanese food I ate outside of Japan. Very tasty. Miso soup eaten with closed eyes it felt like Japan. Dish Top 7 tasts extraordinary good and is price/taste ratio very high. Absolute recommendation.
Wow the quality, atmosphere and value is crazy. This little cafe is so cute and the staff super friendly, but what amazed me was the flavor and love evident in each piece of inari sushi - the rice was perfectly warm and the ingredients high quality and plentiful. Of the three i ordered, the spicy poached salmon was the star but the aioli tuna was also excellent as well. The mushroom truffle would be great for vegetarians with fresh quality mushrooms. Honestly I felt like I was cheating them considering how cheap the inari were. Highly recommended.
