My boyfriend and I visited Toronto from Florida during Caribana weekend, and as a HUGE Drake fan, I had done plenty of research beforehand. I knew Joso’s was one of Drake’s favorite restaurants, so it was at the very top of my must-visit list. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine kindness. They even thanked us for calling ahead when we realized we weren’t going to make our original reservation time, which I really appreciated. Paul was absolutely incredible. His kindness and willingness to go above and beyond were truly unmatched. He seated us at the infamous table where Drake’s Take Care album cover was photographed, and I was completely over the moon! He immediately started posing me so I could recreate the iconic photo, which made for such a fun and unforgettable moment. He also shared a few stories that made the experience even more special. Honestly, he made my trip! For drinks, I ordered the Sgroppino cocktail. We started with the fish soup, and for my entrée I had the Siciliana. My boyfriend ordered the Alla Pomodoro. The food was delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I can’t thank Paul enough for making what was already a special dinner into a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re visiting Toronto or you’re a fellow Drake fan, Joso’s is an absolute must!
The service and staff were very sweet. It’s romantic and gets packed after 7pm. The Hosts, made my son’s birthday special by fixing a table just like Drake did. My son will never forget that moment.💜
Joso’s is a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. I’ve almost tried the entire menu now as I try to make it out here a couple times a year. The standouts for me is squid ink risotto, Boca negra and the grilled seafood that is just exceptional, fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The restaurant’s charming old ambiance creates a warm vibe and intimate setting that makes dinner feel special. The service is impressive; the staff are super friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. Between the outstanding food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent hospitality, it’s a place that ranks at the top for me. Well done!
Hands down the best Seafood Restaurant in Toronto & GTA. Truly a hidden gem. The quality of the ingredients are unmatched and you can taste the freshness of each dish. The mussels & the linguine were the standout dishes of the night, but everything we had was amazing. Don’t skip on dessert. The tiramisu is out of this world. Service was great and we were well taken care of all night. Will be returning soon!
Food is very overrated. One of the most over-grilled calamari I’ve ever had and it tastes bitter because of the char. If you are from a coastal place or have been to places like Spain or Portugal, you’d know this place is subpar in terms of freshness of the seafood and seasoning. The shrimp pasta was a little too sour for me and the shrimp was overcooked too. I was very excited to try this place for my birthday but got a little disappointed. Service and atmosphere is awesome tho!
