Explore the power station’s 2,200-foot-long underground tunnel before witnessing the breathtaking Horseshoe Falls illuminated at night from an observation platform at the edge of the Niagara River.
Dig deeper into Niagara’s story of power with never-before-shared details of the power station’s phenomenal history, including newly unveiled multimedia storytelling and flexible screenings of Currents, an epic sound and light show.
Currents Night Show: Benefit from greater flexibility and value with an updated schedule and expanded visitor experience at Currents, the mesmerizing sound and light evening show at the Niagara Parks Power Station and Tunnel.
During your nighttime experience, Currents will run continuously from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the generator hall. Choose when to watch the show and when to explore new lighting activations throughout the generator hall and tunnel.
Experience a different perspective of Niagara’s cathedral of power as you wander through the beautifully lit grounds of the main generator hall. Every corner tells a story through the interplay of state-of-the-art LED lighting and creates a brilliant cast of colors and shadows.
Enjoy multimedia storytelling and immersive exhibits, such as an enormous scale model of the plant demonstrating how water flows through the turbines, pipes, and tunnel to generate electricity. Try your hand at a restored control panel, discovering firsthand what it was like to be a worker on the station floor decades ago.
