Description
Escape the city and spend a day exploring the breathtaking natural beauty of Muskoka — Ontario’s famous cottage country. This full-day guided adventure takes you through scenic trails, ancient rock formations, and picturesque waterfalls surrounded by pristine northern forests.
Our journey begins at Hardy’s Lake Provincial Park, a peaceful nature reserve known for its unique ecosystem and rare Atlantic coastal plain species. Thousands of years ago, much of this area was submerged beneath vast glacial lakes, including ancient Lake Algonquin. As the waters receded, they left behind remnants of Atlantic Ocean shoreline plants that still thrive here today. The park also contains an inland section of displaced Georgian Bay shoreline, making it a fascinating spot for both nature lovers and geology enthusiasts.
After our morning hike, we’ll stop for a lunch break (not included in the tour price) at one of the local spots in the Muskoka region, where you can enjoy a meal surrounded by the area’s charming small-town atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Huckleberry Rock Lookout, one of Muskoka’s most iconic viewpoints. The exposed pink granite here is among the oldest rock on Earth — more than one billion years old. From the top, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping panoramic views over Lake Muskoka and the surrounding forests — a perfect location for memorable photos.
Our final destination will be the High Falls in Bracebridge, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Ontario. The rushing waters cascade dramatically over rugged rocks into the Muskoka River below, offering a powerful and photogenic finish to your day.
Throughout the tour, you’ll experience the best of Muskoka’s diverse landscape — from peaceful forest trails and ancient geological formations to striking lookout points and waterfalls. Whether you’re a photographer, hiker, or simply love exploring nature, this day trip offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
At the end of the day, we’ll return to Toronto, leaving you with beautiful memories, great photos, and a true taste of Ontario’s wilderness.
During the winter season, this tour transforms into a magical snow-covered experience. Instead of hiking, we’ll go snowshoeing through Muskoka’s quiet trails and frozen landscapes. Enjoy the peaceful crunch of snow underfoot, breathtaking winter scenery, and the serene beauty of Ontario’s wilderness at its calmest.
Whether in summer or winter, you’ll experience the very best of Muskoka’s natural wonders — from forests and waterfalls to ancient rocks and panoramic views. Perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers alike.
