If you’re looking for something different from traditional ramen, this place is definitely worth trying! I ordered their Aruba Soba, and it was packed with flavor. The noodles had a great chewy texture, and every bite was rich, savory, and satisfying. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the overall experience was fantastic. The interior has a very authentic Japanese feel, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff were also attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was taken care of throughout the meal. A great spot if you’re looking to try something different from traditional broth ramen. I’ll definitely be back!
No doubt the food was one of the best at the Japanese spots I have tried in Toronto! Everything was great: the noodles were neither chewy nor starchy, the sauce was delicious, and the meat was perfectly flavoured. Unagi was amazing: one of those dishes that makes you come back! Still, their signature dish for me is the chicken curry! Also, the condiment set was so satisfying. Although they prepare your food very quickly, there is always a line because it is a walk-in-only place. Also, some people don’t care about others, and they will sit as long as they want. Shout out to the staff who handle everything so smoothly. The atmosphere is lively and quite loud. The only downside was the washroom, which was not properly cleaned.
I will say that this is number one 1 ramen place in Toronto! I ordered Meat lover (Roast Beef Aburasoba) It’s so flavourful and creamy! I truly enjoyed my meal and I think the prices are very good too ($17) if it was more expensive than now I don’t think I would think about coming back but if they keep what their doing now it will definitely blow up more:) The Unagidon (Eel rice bowl) was delicious I think it’s cheaper than the another place I went to for Unagi don! ($14) The portion of Eel wasn’t as big as the rice was but the sauce was good enough to cover that. Plus other places the eel is even thinner than here and expensive so I would say this was probably the best one I tried. + There was a waiting for 10-15minutes and it didn’t take too long for my food (around 10min inside) They have a very good system for people to come in and eat so you donut have to worry about waiting too much! (I never tried the sauces on the side *I wish I did 🥺 but I really wanted to try the original flavor so probably next time!)
Orders the original (added egg) and the meat lover dishes (added extra charsu) along with the karaage, soft shell crab, and takoyaki for appetizers. The noodle dishes were between ~$17-$22 before add-ons. Would order the karaage and soft shell crab again as they were meaty and tasted great, the takoyaki didn’t really stand out to us. The noodles had a good, chewy texture while maintaining softness. I liked the overall flavour which was simple but not bland. There are sesame seeds, chili oil, vinegar, and pepper on the side to adjust as needed. Overall portion sizes were good for the price! The service was also good, our waters were always filled by the server despite having a bottle on the table for self-serve as well. They were present but not overbearing. We got here at a bit past 11am to line up and by the time it was almost at opening at 11:30 there was already a long line, so recommend coming early if you’re hungry. Would return!
Very impressed by their Aburasoba, especially the roast beef one, which was made creamier with the addition of yogurt sauce. The restaurant was bustling when we arrived on a Saturday evening, but the wait was not too long. Their noodles were rich and cooked to a perfect chewy consistency. Loved the meat topped Gyoza. The meat was nice and savoury!
