My recent visit to civil works was very good. We arrived during last call and they were very accommodating. I loved the vibe and atmosphere. The loft feel with the lights was incredible. The service was very good and cocktails did not disappoint. It is pretty pricey but it’s to be expected at a high end cocktail club in the city. Will definitely return!

We visited shortly after Civil Works opened for the day, so I can't really comment on what the vibe is like later in the evening. During our visit, it was quiet. Civil Works has a great atmosphere. The cocktails are well-made, with a good selection and interesting flavours. The staff really stood out. They were friendly, attentive, and took the time to make great recommendations based on what we liked, which we really appreciated. The overall experience was enjoyable.

Great drinks and a great experience. We got to sit ‘behind’ the bar with the bar tenders—best spot in the house. Leo made us great drinks and was really fun to talk with. We had a blast and highly recommend this place. Try the jello shot margaritas!

We've been to many of the top bars in the world, and Civil Works is something special. The decor / atmosphere is stunning, so elegant yet comfortable in an unfussy way. The menu with its fabric theme - a reference to when the building was a garment factory, is one of the most unique and storytelling I've ever seen. The drinks are excellent as well, and as a lover of savory cocktails, I especially loved the Needle & Thread. We were shocked by how good and sophisticated the Jell-O shots were : the flavor of the day for us were tequila with cucumber, lime and yuzu zest. Highly recommended!!

This is one of my favorite cocktail bars in the city. I’ve come here multiple times and I have always had a consistent and fantastic experience. This is an unexpected bar sitting at the top of the food-hall. You simply do not expect the grandeur and allure of the space as you make your way up. You’re transported in Civil Works’ universe. Additionally, music adds to the ambience without being too loud. The menu is creatively woven with the story of the building. Please don’t hesitate to ask your servers questions as they do a much better job at storytelling. I love that they offer different types of water as a nod to the history of the space. I’ve never tried the different waters but I appreciate the intentionality. Service: The service is amazing, I’d like to call out Mo and Rob who I’ve had the pleasure to be served by. Not only are they welcoming, but they’re also passionate and knowledgeable about their craft making the experience all the better. The menu is extensive which can be overwhelming to some, when and if in doubt, lean on your server. Menu: Creative, extensive & thoughtfully navigable with the help of descriptions, categorization and charts that facilitate the decision making process. Drinks: The cocktails are amazing. Even those that may not be to my liking are executed with mastery. In the extremely rare instances that I didn’t enjoy a drink, it was a matter of personal taste preferences not of skill. Bonus: I believe the bar has a partnership with a couple food merchants in the food-hall, allowing you to order and have it served to you!
