Great atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, fast and friendly service. Perfect spot after a show as they are open late. It’s a 1-min walk from the Princess of Wales Theatre - just around the corner. Was kids-friendly with a great selection of mocktails.
A hidden bar tucked behind a coffee counter. Walking in feels like a little secret mission. You open what looks like an ordinary cabinet door, then suddenly step into a hidden bar. The whole reveal is so satisfying, and the space inside is gorgeous. Menu at the end. 👉 Banana Barrel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ ($25) I was worried it would be too strong, so I asked them to make it a little sweeter. The whiskey is incredibly fragrant and surprisingly approachable. Compared with a typical whiskey cocktail, this drinks very smoothly. The sweetness almost has that sticky overripe banana texture, in the best possible way. It tastes more like a banana dessert than a cocktail, which makes the alcohol much easier to enjoy. 👉 Purple Potion ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ($19) A refreshing little sweet drink. Light, easy to drink, and not overly boozy. 👉 Chocolate Truffle Mousse ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ($9) It is… fine. Feels like a wholesale chocolate cake. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing memorable either. To be fair, after a couple of cocktails I was probably no longer qualified to judge dessert anyway. 😭
Came in during happy hour it wasn’t too busy. My gf and I sat at the bar area and the bartender Thomas was very attentive to us and was sweet! Great customer service! The drinks are fabulous here. We will definitely come back to try the appetizers and other drinks next time :)
Me and my friend went recently and loved this place. Our bartender Tila was so friendly and made us some amazing drinks and also gave us some sample shots which were delishhhhh! Music was popping and the speakeasy experience was super cool. We tried the chicken appetizer and it was so good! Will definitely be back!
Had a really great time at Bar 404. The vibe was super chill and the staff were really friendly. Got the Strawberry Short Cake, and the bartender Tilla also made me a special drink. Both drinks were AMAZING! Tilla was super nice, funny, and just easy to talk to. Made the whole experience even better. Would definitely go back!
