Harbourfront Centre is one of Toronto's best waterfront destinations. The scenic lake views, relaxing walking paths, public art, and vibrant atmosphere make it a wonderful place to spend a few hours. There are often cultural events, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. It's an excellent spot to unwind, take photos, or simply enjoy the beauty of Lake Ontario. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors.
Our go to place...a short drive down 404 and we end up in a vibrant yet relaxing space. Went there during the FIFA games and it had totally different vibes around the place... There is an undergroumd parking at the place and other lots across and nearby as well. Lots of food options and children's play areas, or then do what we do... walking on the boardwalk there and sit on one of the many benches and enjoy views of the Lake with an array of boats and the planes landing and taking g off from the nearby Billy Bishop airport, and then capturing the beautiful sunsets with its magical colours..not a dull moment! A must do for all ages.
It certainly a place for a good all day family picnic. Plenty of attractions for all ages. Food outlets are available but expensive. A caution must review the city page to be aware of all activities and road closures around the Centre Island location. On a very crowded day it is better to go by the Taxi than by the ferry. The wait time going and returning by ferry is exceptionally long specially for seniors and families with small children.
This is a wonderful and relaxing spot with beautiful scenery. The harbor is divided into two sides rather than being one straight waterfront. One side is home to the boats and marina, while the other features a lovely park with plenty of benches where visitors can sit back, unwind, and take in the stunning views. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a peaceful walk or simply relax by the water.
We checked this place out with the family during the holiday break, and it was the absolute perfect waterfront escape. When you have a few days off and just want to get out of the house to experience something special together, this spot completely delivers. Walking along the scenic boardwalk and watching the winter ferries cross the harbor was pure magic, and it kept the kids completely captivated. It had an amazing, high-energy festive atmosphere with indoor craft markets and beautiful seasonal displays. A gorgeous, memorable destination that made our holidays feel like a true vacation.
