We wandered in to watch the Portugal vs. Croatia match. We were seated without any issues, and the food arrived fairly quickly. The fish and chips were decent, and the nachos were okay. However, the fries were so heavily battered that they actually scraped the roof of my mouth, which made them unpleasant to eat. What really ruined the experience was the customer service from the bald gentleman behind the bar, who I believe may have been the manager. My phone was down to 3%, and since I needed it to pay the bill, I politely asked if I could plug it in to charge. I even had my own charger and cable and wasn’t asking to borrow any staff equipment. He immediately responded with a rude, abrupt “No.” Had there been a fee or concern, we would have happily paid an extra $5 just to charge the phone for a few minutes. Having worked in several restaurants myself since moving here, I know that small acts of customer service like this can make a big difference. The dismissive attitude was disappointing and completely unnecessary. The only bright spot was our server, who was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, we won’t be returning.
Was looking for another restaurant when we stumbled upon this Gem. It was a nice spot that had a great "small town" pub-like atmosphere. The woman & I were looking for a good burger, and the Fox burger was juicy, tasty, & really satisfied that craving! Service was quick and friendly, this place is definitely a recommend and one I will be coming back to. Drink deals was just the perfect cherry atop.
Went on Sunday at noon. All 3 dishes are great. The fries are especially crispy, although slightly too salty. Lots of TVs showing blue jays game.
Food is good we always make it one of our stops here, decent pub food, nice atmosphere but staff can be hit or miss if they are decent.
Good pub grub, comfort food bar. Stopped in for dinner on our way home from work with the family. Happened to be the night of an event, so we were given the “event menu” which felt was limited and pricey. So suspicious of price gouging for an event that we were not going to. A little disappointing. The food was good but basic. Portion sizes were questionable…Five onion rings seemed a little ridiculous. And paying extra for fries with 1lb of wings that already cost $21 seemed excessive. We’d likely come back because of convenience to work, but that’s the only reason. Note…the “hot” wings were hotter than your average “hot” wings. Still tasty, but had a good bite back to them.
