Shout out to Thomas our tour guide! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ He was knowledgeable but also extremely funny which is just a big plus. Learning while having fun makes the best experience. You get to try the barley and if your adventurous you can try the hops. Two of us tries it on our tour. It's like a sawdust texture with the taste of a floral, tea leaf, and soap. Don't ask how I know what soap tastes like lol. Great tour, very informative. It was a gift for my husband and didn't disappoint. You get a beer at the beginning of the tour or they offer hard cider or water if you're with someone who doesn't like beer. I'm not a beer drinker and dislike it in general. Last time I drank beer was over 20 years ago! I drank the whole bottle on the tour and enjoyed it. The staff was polite and the food was good. The pork tacos are moist and have a nice flavor, but needs more of a sauce on it.
Passing through Toronto this was a must stop for my husband who loves local Pilsners. We came on a rainy day for lunch and when the Blue Jays had a late game that night. The wait was a bit long for a Tuesday, but that would be expected in the summer on a rainy game day. The environment was so great, the staff were amazing, and the food was awesome! I didn’t have a chance to take any additional photos of the food, but the Smash Burger was amazing, the tacos were top notch, and the kids enjoyed their Mac & Cheese, and Chicken Nuggets & Fries. Plus the Canadian Ketchup is way better than American Ketchup! Lastly, of course the Steam Whistle Pilsner is amazing!!
Had a great experience at Steam Whistle Brewing in Toronto. The historic roundhouse location is unique and full of character, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The food was excellent and made for the perfect meal after a game. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The staff were friendly and courteous, although the service was a bit slow at times, especially when it got busy. Despite that, the overall experience was very enjoyable. Great beer, great food, and a fantastic setting in the heart of the city. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto.
I’ve started coming to Steam Whistle Kitchen before almost every event at the Rogers Centre. It’s become our go-to spot for pregame food and drinks. Despite always being busy, there never seems to be much of a wait for a table, and the service is excellent. Everyone works together as a team and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The beer is obviously great, as you’d expect from a brewery, but the espresso martini has actually become my favourite drink there. This time they even had a banana flavoured version, which was fantastic. At this point I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and honestly it’s all been great, but the standout items for me are the beef dip sandwich, the everything pretzel, and of course the smash burger. The decor both inside and outside really add to the experience and make it a fun place to hang out before a game or concert. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already. Looking forward to hopefully doing a brewery tour there sometime soon.
Fabulous outing at Steam Whistle, not just for beer, the restaurant is actually outstanding and should be discovered above and beyond the beer. While I did not sample everything my friends ate, all had positive feedback when I asked them about their food. But on what I tasted firsthand, the chickpea dip was delicious, the bread was hot and very flavourful which only added to the dish. I highly recommend the lasagna, our waiter told us it was one of their biggest sellers and no wonder, I would argue it could compete with the best Italian restaurants of Toronto (no, seriously), it is of the Northern Italian kind with bechamel and bolognese sauce, smothered under Parmesan, truly outstanding on every level. Service was quick, attentive and super friendly from staff that have fun at their job, made the evening memorable. I was already a fan of Steam Whistle beer (I do miss the green bottles though), an easy going lager with a personality. They do have an extensive selection of beer, adding Beau’s beer to fill the gap of the beer range for their customers - to me, that is customer care from management. Overall, a highly recommended establishment I will be returning to, for the beer, easy answer, but the food is worth your hard earned dollars also. Tip to management : re-classify your business here on Google Maps to the restaurant category to better reflect the breadth of your offering.
