My wife and I spent the Saturday of the May 2026 long weekend at the spa to celebrate her 30th birthday. She is eight months pregnant, and I wanted to treat her to a relaxing day. We booked 90-minute massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. Unfortunately, the experience did not come close to justifying the premium prices charged. While the staff providing the treatments were pleasant and professional, the services themselves were average at best and lacked the level of quality and attention to detail one would expect from a luxury spa. To make matters worse, my wife was unable to receive her manicure because she arrived with existing shellac polish and was told the spa did not have the proper tools to remove it. For a facility positioning itself as a high-end spa, this was both surprising and disappointing. The biggest issue, however, was the atmosphere. The pool and spa facilities are shared with hotel guests, and during a busy long weekend the area was filled with children. Kids were running between the hot tub and pool, with pool noodles, balls, and constant noise throughout the space. Rather than feeling like a luxury spa retreat, it felt more like a crowded public pool. I am giving two stars solely because the service providers themselves were friendly and courteous. Overall, the experience was poor value for the money and far from relaxing. If you are looking for a peaceful spa day, especially at these prices, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Okay, so here’s the honest review of the spa experience, including the amenities you gain access. We came in earlier to experience the other amenities, and that was just OK and took more away from the experience as a whole. The change rooms are luxurious, and offer snacks, teas, and full service grooming products (free). The pool area was the downside of this whole experience, I read in another review that they don’t overbook, well it certainly didn’t seem like it. That might be hard to control if the area is being shared with hotel guests and building residents. The pool itself was an average size, but for the number of people that could be there, it was small. There were loungers and seating, but it was a little while until loungers freed up for us. There’s also a hot tub area and a small sauna which are nice additions. The biggest hit to the ambience of the place was when families with young and loud kids showed up. Then it felt like you were at any holiday inn with a pool. If they’re looking to portray this as a luxury spa amenity, a separate area relaxed area for spa guests would’ve been a much better idea. Now the massage services, that’s where everything was redeemed. We did the hot stone massage, and I can confidently say that was the best massage therapy I’ve had. It felt more like an experience instead of just “massage therapy”. We went mid-day on a Friday, I’d recommend going on an odd day/time to have a more relaxed experience. Overall, the experience was worth trying out, but the price definitely doesn’t warrant more than a sporadic special occasion, unless your insurance fully covers it.
Signature Yorkville 90 minute massage with Ella - it's literally THE BEST massage I've ever had in Toronto. Highly recommend 10/10 would return. Facilities are great - pool, steam room, sauna and hot tub. Complimentary drink for your birthday (green juice was amazing).
Spent the day today at the spa, got a deluxe manicure and pedicure. Honestly I’m giving 5 stars alone for my manicurist/pedicurist, Yvonne. Not only was she an exceptional professional, but she was a wonderful conversationalist and had the most pleasant disposition. I really just loved her all around. I would and will 100% go back to her for her services and I would absolutely recommend her to everyone and anyone. I hope this review can get back to her directly! Thanks Yvonne! PS- ordered some snacks and a latte and both were great quality. The only drawback of this spa is that sitting on the terrace, while pleasant, is dimmed a bit by the nearby construction/street noise. Other than that I’ll definitely go back!
