Me and my boyfriend come here to relax after a busy week. As an author who writes prolifically and composes a lot of music, I need somewhere relaxing and low pressure to go to in the community. Writing is my literal job, so if I can combine it with beer and sunshine, it makes it 15% faster to write. Fact. Literally amazing food. The fish and chips is amazing AND they have malt vinegar and the coleslaw is simply sublime. I've been told the wings are great as well as the poutine. If you're looking for an awesome spot that supports black owned businesses in Toronto with an awesome patio, definitely visit this place! It is a community hub in an otherwise careless city; these lovely sun filled spots and providers of liquids of cheap coin and glasses full and plenty (happy hour). We're so lucky as a society to have these safe havens from the existential crisis that compromises the aggregate banality of daily life. Indeed, Camus' Sisyphus would have drunk here, or perhaps Camus himself after one too many parisienne absinthes. Albeit a short happy hour I wish every bar and restaurant was as friendly as the staff are here. They care. You can tell that they care and they want to get to know the local community. After many happy hour wines, I'm more than inclined to tell my life story but, alas, the football and live baseball is far more interesting so I'd listen to that. It is not a sports bar, but it does sport well. You could call it a "good sport" but that's terribly British. If you order the fish and chips, then you are allowed to use the phrase of course. Good one, mate. Don't forget your wotah. Anyway, aside from this: keep being awesome. You are the definition of what it means to be Torontonians: diverse, happy, polite, amazing food and great alcohol. What more could canary district want? Warm. Welcoming. Queer friendly. 👌🙏

Great beer selection. Nice new spot. Clean. The beer was pretty good with a lot of variety. We didn't eat, as we were on a liquid diet. Very friendly staff.

What’s not to LOVE?! Local craft beer, seltzers, cocktails and mocktails. A daily happy hour with happy apps. Free pool, and a patio which is open to guests with dogs. They even have a menu for dogs! 🐕 A great place to watch a game, meet your neighbours, and make new acquaintances. The service is always prompt and friendly. I really enjoyed Tuesday trivia which is hosted by a very fun and friendly gal! Happy to have this spot in the neighborhood 🫶🍺
