It’s a fun patio to go to watch sports. It’s definitely just a sports pub; nothing really great about the food. We did have a bad experience with a very entitled, rude server. They have really amazing Shirley temples here.

My fiance and I were on a trip to Toronto and looking for a good spot to eat downtown (neither of us are from the city so it was all very new and confusing to us) and decided to stop here. The staff were amazing right from the start, they were so welcoming and friendly and we had an amazing seat on the patio with a beautiful view of the CN Tower. We had the Spinach and Artichoke dip as an appetiser and it was delicious, then my fiance had a reuben with poutine and I myself had a lovely fish and poutine. The portion sizes are very generous and the food itself was delicious, and the prices were amazing! Our server, I don't remember her name but I believe she had red hair and maybe some piercings, was so accommodating and friendly and kept bringing us refills on our waters without us needing to ask which was also amazing. The service was also super quick and we were not waiting very long at all. The thing that really bumps up our experience of this place is what happened later in the evening. Since this place is right near Ripley's Aquarium, we decided that we would go and check it out. It was around 10-11pm when we were done in there and so we called and uber, but both of our phones had died as we were waiting on our uber which should have only taken 2 minutes to get there, however we waited almost 20 minutes and it didn't show. We are both young women in a big new city, downtown Toronto, phones dead, and no ride back to our hotel which is right next to Pearson Airport on the other side of the city. We had no idea if the buses were still running and since it was Victoria Day the trains were not running either so we were stuck. We ended up going back to the this bar and explained to these wonderful ladies our situation and they immediately offered to call us a cab or let us charge our phones in the back with their charger and let us wait inside. We were given water and waited half an hour for my fiancé's phone to reach a decent % and we were able to call an uber with their help which actually showed up on time. The staff here are absolutely incredible, we are no longer in the city and came back home yesterday but we absolutely will come here again if we ever find ourselves back in Toronto!! 🫶🫶

It was my families first time here today and the food was great. It was my first time trying Poutine and I was very hesitant to try it but it was really good. 10/10 I would recommend to anyone, the gravy was really tasty. The staff was friendly and professional. So we really appreciated that. We had just come from an establishment where we were told me couldn’t be accommodated (and not in a nice way) so I’m grateful the staff here was welcoming. The atmosphere was calming and fun at the same time. I never seen TVs in the floor before! That was cool!

Hoops Sports Bar & Grill is one of those easy, go-to spots when you just want good food and a chill vibe. It’s a classic sports bar right in the middle of downtown, with lots of screens and a laid-back atmosphere. The menu is full of bar favourites, like nachos, wings, steaks, burgers, and pretty much everything you’d expect, and the portions are solid, too. It’s a great place for week night or weekend get-togethers with friends, especially if you’re catching a game or just hanging out. The energy is fun, the food is simple but satisfying, and the staff are friendly. We ordered “Roast Beef Yorkies”, “Fish and Chips”, “Reuben Sandwich”, “Hoops Pizza”, and “Meatloaf”; and paired our meal with Lager and Raspberry Martini. Everything tasted good and was well-presented.

Service was great, food came pretty quickly, tables are tight, but doable. Every angle you look there’s sports on a tv. Staff was friendly with no issues at all. They separated our bills with no complaint. Washrooms were clean, I’ve been here a few times prior to concerts or sporting events. Prices are great, great experience. Thanks Hoops employees!
