Watching the matches
BMO Field, set in Exhibition Place on the lakeshore, is Toronto's main venue for World Cup action. While the stadium hosts top-tier matches, the city itself brims with excitement. Planning your day might start with snagging tickets online or joining fellow fans across various lively neighborhoods.
Getting around
Toronto's public transit is well equipped for World Cup visitors. GO Transit trains on the Lakeshore West and East lines will take you directly to Exhibition Station, which is perfect for accessing BMO Field. For the FIFA Fan Festival™ at Fort York & The Bentway, use Union Station, then hop on the TTC 509 streetcar. Remember, Exhibition GO is not the right stop for the Fan Festival.
Where fans gather
Beyond the stadium, Toronto's neighborhoods are ready to welcome fans for watch parties. Head to King West in Downtown for a dynamic scene, while Kensington Market and Little Italy are great for casual viewing with friends. Distillery District offers a unique setting with plentiful eateries, and Liberty Village is a solid choice with its proximity to the stadium. Each of these places promises vibrant atmospheres and plenty of fellow fans.
Practical notes
Tickets for the FIFA Fan Festival™ at Fort York & The Bentway are only available online in advance, so plan accordingly. Always check the official city site for detailed entry requirements and programming. The stadium and fan zone are positioned just west of downtown, but note they are distinct locations and require different travel routes.
