There's a raw honesty in the red-brick architecture of the Distillery District that you just don't find in modern construction 🧱⚙️ As a woodworker, I have immense respect for the craftsmanship of this era - from the heavy timber beams to the intricate ironwork. I spent my afternoon browsing the local workshops and grabbed a coffee at Balzac’s. The interior woodwork in that cafe is a masterclass in itself. It’s a relief to step away from the glass-and-steel skyscrapers and spend time in a place that respects history and heritage. If you appreciate things that are built to last, this district is a must-visit. Five stars for the soul of the city

An iconic place to visit for visitors to the city or locals. Plenty of locally owned shop's and restaurants with a historic vibe.

Came here for winter village thing on Saturday night before Christmas, about 7pm. We had about 10 min wait to get in, fairly reasonable. We used uber to arrive and walked back afterwards. Good thing, because there clearly is no where to park! The food items you get are going to be fairly pricy for a small portion. At least it tastes good. My major complaint is how DIRTY everything was. With paid tickets you’d think they can afford to add more custodians to maintain cleanliness. Instead there were sandwich buns on the ground, sauce cups spilled on everything, dirty tables AND chairs, napkins and litter every where! It was disgusting! Also, sad that people could not manage toss out their litter but the place could do better upkeep during the evening hours to keep clean. Spillage and litter took away from our evening experience. The streets are uneven and curbs/steps are difficult to see in the dark. It was shoulder to shoulder and lots of mob groups of people.

My favorite place to go in downtown Toronto Christmas time is really special there There is always something fun to explore there and if not you can simply have a nice walk and have a drink or meal Recently they set up a place where they grill corn, it’s really good
