Highly recommend Montauk for a drink (and/or snacks) on Dundas West; its become one of our favourite spots in Toronto. We've been multiple times since the bar was purchased by the new owner (Chris); and every time the service, the food, and the drinks have been incredible!! The hospitality/service is easily amongst the best cocktail bars in the city. The menu includes classic cocktails, weekly features, and curated wine options. But also, Chris & the team are talented bartenders and can generally make you anything you want! Montauk is also a great spot for different parts of the night; we've typically been for early / pre-dinner drinks, but its also a great spot for a group later in the evening.

Always the reliable neighbourhood bar, Montauk has been a mainstay of mine for years. Service is great, cocktails are phenomenal. Great date spot, cozy, low light, music levels at a reasonable conversation level. Great for gatherings, events, birthdays, and just a solo drink after a long day. If you haven’t been in recently, they also have snacks now! Truly a great time, worth the visit!
Cheap & cheerful! There are incredible seasonal house cocktails and classics done well with a unique, rotating snack menu. My current favs are the LightHouse cocktail and cheese empanadas! The space gives cozy staycation vibes with fun colours, and lighting that feels just right. If you’re reading this and your last visit was over a year ago then you’re probably confused by that description. But trust me, it’s got a whole new look and it’s worth checking out! Service is quick and staff are lovely—shout out to Chris for the great service. There’s a mix of seating options from table, to high top to bar and there’s 2 tvs so you can even catch the game. Maybe your new favourite local?
